Yes this movie is dated - yes some of the comments are inappropriate - and YES, there is a LOT of swearing in this movie, but I enjoyed seeing it again after so many years..

Foul language so unnecessary

Was looking forward to this, and I enjoyed the first episode. Patrick Stewart is definitely a "presence" and a force on screen, although he definitely looks older and quite frail. Having said that, I settled in for Episode 2 and was assaulted with foul language, completely unnecessary to the plot! S---, F---, and G--d---. absolutely put me off a good show. Same thing as Designated Survivor.... the swearing ruins it. I know many are OK with it, but for me, it's a no-go from now on.

I saw this movie when it first came out and appreciated it, but it was only when it started to re-run on TV that I would watch it again and again. Bought the DVD. This movie is incredible. I still watch it when it comes on.

Hypocritical.....

I saw this movie in the theater, and on TV many times since then. I always found it so hypocritical that both Emma and Flap had affairs yet Emma was so much angrier at Flap and could barely see that she was cheating just as much as he was. She gave him such a hard time and yet saw nothing wrong with her own behavior. Anyhoo.... still very "watchable" after all these decades.
