Sicario: Day of the Soldado (2018)
I liked it
I can't wait to see the next one. Benicio Del Toro in full rage mode. Oh man, I can't wait.
Stalingrad (2013)
Loved it
I have no idea what all these whiny little reviewers have a problem with. Pretty much all of them say, "its not what I was expecting". Who cares what you were expecting!!! It was an amazing movie. Well done, good acting, great story, good action, entertaining, surprisingly good script. I think all the little whiny babies need to move out of their mothers basement and get a freaking life. I'm so glad I didn't follow the reviews and instead followed my instinct based on the trailer. I really loved the movie and will recommend it to others.
Wild Wild Country (2018)
Subtly hidden sympathizers to the cult
Subtle hidden cult sympathizers. Do not watch this. 80-90% of the interviews are from the cult members and the majority of the time spent interviewing the cult members is given to Ma Anand Sheela, the one who planned and carried out the the biggest bio terrorism attack in US history! If you think this is a conspiracy or that I am a conspiracy sympathizer you are dead wrong. Research it and find out for yourself. The fact is that both the bhagwan and Ma Anand Sheela were kicked out the US by the government and weren't allowed in over 27 countries. If you want to watch a documentary about the cult, watch Ashram in Poona (1988). The video doesn't lie. The Way brothers are the most naive people I've ever met.
Anime nere (2014)
So bad I wish I could give negative stars
I absolutely hate and despise this movie. So incredibly unsatisfying and boring. I actually put it on my list of things to do to write a bad review of this movie and opened a rotten tomatoes account so I could singularly post my negative review of this movie. I'm still signing and shaking my head in annoyance of how bad this movie was while I'm writing this and its been over a month since I've seen it. Omg, I hate this movie so much. So bad. Sooooo baaaddd.
Salt (2010)
I liked it
When I first saw the rating I passed over it, but finally after looking at it a few more times, I decided to watch it. I'm glad I did. The plot was quite good. Deep and broad themes. The action was also surprisingly good. The moves easy to follow and made sense. A lot of movies nowadays use shaky cam, also well as excessive editing and angles to the point you can't even tell what's going on. It's actually quite annoying and can sometimes turn me off to an entire movie because of it. The action in this movie was the opposite. The end didn't really make sense at first, but the more I thought about it, there is a counter argument. Not enough to outweigh it. Basically the end didn't make much sense, but I can see what they were doing, I mean its pretty obvious. Anyways, good movie throughout, but they could have worked the ending better.
In conclusion, its a smart, deep, broad, and exciting movie. I'm glad I got passed the rating on IMDb and gave it a try.
Sherlock (2010)
One major flaw
I will start with what I feel is the one, crucial, and major flaw of this series, which caused me to stop watching it: the villains. They suck. I'm talking specifically about the second and third episodes. Their acting empty, wispy, without substance, and not believable whatsoever. Sherlock's lifelong nemesis Professor Moriarty was truly the person and point at which he was revealed, when I could simply no longer continue watching the series. As a reader and fan of the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle stories, the casting and performance of the character of Moriarty, was an absolute disgrace to the true character with the pages of the stories and in no way encapsulated his most important traits, character, and personality. Whoever did the casting for not only Moriarty, but also the other early villains, did not read the stories, or on top of that simply does not know how to cast the villains.
With that said, I love practically every other aspect of the show. Cumberbatch is completely on point. But the conclusion of any story, film, or show is so crucially important to the value of the entire piece that screwing that up practically means you have ruined it completely, so I feel sorry for all the significant work and value of the show to be degraded by its ending, which is inherently linked to the revealing of the villains. I hope they fix this asap, and fire whoever screwed it up in the first place. If your going to remake something as monumental as the stories of Sherlock Holmes, you better get it freaking right, instead of tarnishing such a classic literary work. Amen.
Daredevil (2015)
I wish I could give this a 15
Everything is too perfect. Not only is every single part of the production done extremely well, they all coalesce synergizing it into product that is evermore exquisite, breathtaking, hysterical, inspiring, and even contemplative of ageless questions of morality, justice, and duty.
The script, the casting, the action scenes, the relationships, the origin and back story, the dialog, the acting, everything is done exquisitely. After watching a few episodes, I get the feeling like everyone involved in the entire production is really pouring everything they have into it.
I truly hope that everyone is honorably recognized for all their hardwork, dedication, and talent. Needless to say I also desperately hope that following seasons will be given to continue documenting their continued achievement and excellence.
The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)
Too amazing for words
Every aspect and detail of this movie was perfect. Many of the scenes I just had to watch again before I keep watching. There's just too many things to praise and highlight. Actors casting and performing was too perfect. Their performance was so real, it felt at times you were actually witnessing real life. The chemistry between Garfield and Stone was unreal. I wouldn't be surprised if they actually fell in love off set. Marc Webb did a truly unbelievable job. He captured all the wonderful aspects of the story, characters, plot, dialog, and action. There's just too much to say.
I just want to thank everyone who had a part in this movie. You all did your job over and above all expectations and standards, making something truly genuine, real, and enjoyable.
