Marry Me (2022)

Make me uncomfortable
28 September 2022
How is this old lady still the star in a romantic film. How many marriages has she had and how old is she? How long ago did we hear a song from her? I remember a clio where she tells a guy she used to live there. The guy then says, " who is j lopez". This akward movie feels like a madonna trying to stay young and relevant. It is over. Rather spend some time with the kids . Ok i am finished. Fine. Owen wilson also seemed like such random partner for her. Can you like even imagine chemistry with them. I feel like both is borderline forgotten actors desperate to catch a bit of limelight. I can imagine a new director would settle for forgettable actors like these 2 to create what we have here.

Netflix = mediocrity

This a typical mass produced movie by netflix. Nothing special, just had to make another movie with a good idea and typical non-artistic execution. I wonder sometimes how they choose their directors. Is it just who is available from college?

They get great actors and just embarres them with what they have to work with. They are mass producing B movies.

Partly cool

I watch this show for Carrel, malkovich(the best) and second in command walkover general. Rest of cast is pretty lame! Premise of space is pretty interesting!

For the downtrodden and bullied
4 October 2019
For me the message in this movie was about how society needs to look at how they through different means can harm the individuals that live in it. One of main examples is bullying shown in different ways throughout the movie. I heard one critic say she saw no point or theme in the movie, and it made me think. I think the movie is a call to society to take a look at what role they play in creating monsters. It is refreshing to not keep it as simple as "a born psychopath" and looking deeper into the circumstances.

I connect this theme with how Phoenix played Johhny cash and I know Johnny cash made music for the downtrodden as well.
