Nothing Compares (2022)
Something is off
This film starts out as a pretty standard music artist documentary, but it quickly becomes obvious that the film was not authorized by SOC herself. It does not include a single new, exclusive interview. The producers were not even allowed to include her greatest hit. It paints the picture that SOC, due to her activism, was ignored by media even though she continued creating supposedly high quality work. Oddly enough, in the same vein, the documentary does not feel the need to cover her post 1992 work or life with a single minute. Instead, it descends into a cheap collage of modern day activism, and vague statements on how all of these movements were partly enabled by SOC.
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 1: Stranger in a Strange Land (2021)
Disappointing
Motstly fighting and not much intelligence in this first episode. The special effects are not that great. The sand people watch dog looks far too CGI fake on a big 4K screen. And the giant monster looks ridiculous. Music is "themed by" Göran Ludvigsson, bur not as god as The Mandalorian.
Spring Uje spring (2020)
Too bad
The first 30 minutes are promising and I especially enjoyed a couple of the music scenes. But the second half loses tempo and the long dream sequence towards the end is just boring. Worst of all, the whole movie is littered with the kind of banal political statements you would expect from a 14 year old child.
The I-Land (2019)
Horrible. Just horrible. What a disaster.
This is the worst acting I have seen in many, many years. Completely unbearable to watch. The dialogue is awful. Painful to watch.
