Into the Storm (2014)
id be more entertained with a twister lolly
I've been wanting to see this film for a while now and yep finally got to,,my expectations were quickly knocked back like a kick in the face with disappointment.if you like the film twister you more than likely will like this film too as the visual effects are pretty neat,to me its the storyline and cams that bored me after five minutes,oh yes and the acting too, nearly in every scene was someone holding a cam which was quite comical and would be a good effect for the next scary movie franchise, the film seemed to bases on drive for while then twister ,,drive for while then twister etc etc,not very well directed,in one scene when Alison ( played by the beautiful Sarah Callie's )..is flung virtually by the strong winds and she holds on by grabbing a car door, feet pointing upto the sky as the vacuum from the twister pulls her but when the shot goes to Gary ( played by the hunky Richard armitage),his hair is tidy and doesn't move,Pete (played by Matt Walsh) hands over the flash drives for the future (leaving the audience with his certain death in mind..no suspense) then floats up the twister like hes going to oz,while at the sametime the digital wind is howling past him,i did expect more from this film,i wouldn't have it in my collection nor would i watch it again, the redneck scenes have no purpose and are comically acted.i gave this film a 4 out of 10 only because of the few visual effects.summary..acting not brill, comical cam holding, boring, only for the twister die hard fans
Planes: Fire & Rescue (2014)
Disney animations are the best
i have to admit i am a Disney fan and this film didn't let me down, excellent animation with lots of laughs for the entire family,if you liked cars, cars 2 , and planes you will love this movie just as much,Disney always provide the viewer with top notch computer generated characters, this movie is set in the piston peak national park of which has some beautiful landscape scenes, particularly the waterfall scenes i thought were very good .this is one film i will be adding to my collection and will watch time and time again,i have only praise for this movie and i gave it a 9 (visual stunning and a all in all good family entertaining movie ),this will be flying (pardon the pun) off the shelves at Christmas time.
Horns (2013)
loved it
i didn't quite know what to expect when watching this movie but I've got to say i loved it,it had some elements of the film beastly so if you like that movie you will like this film more than likely,i like something different and this sure was that,Daniel Radcliffe i loved in this movie, throughout the film he encounters peoples truths when he is close by them and this is happening because of the horns that appear on his head,,he is on a quest to find out the reasons behind his girlfriends murder and its these truths that start to be helpful, there is only one guy in the film (his friend/ lawyer) that cannot see the horns, but this is because he believes him to be innocent,,or maybe not,you will have to watch to see that !i would for sure add this to my collection and re watch it from time to time ,it has the classic whodunit theme throughout, there's some funny moments, gore (nearer to the end),and the storyline captivates you on the journey to find the truth
Life After Beth (2014)
was waiting for the funny stuff to happen
this isn't one of the films id watch again, the film is about beth who dies in a accident ,shortly after she comes back to life, the shock of this happening has some funny moments with her boyfriend and parents of beth but then it slips into the film been just as dead as beth, the second half of the film seemed to get even more drab especially when more dead people come to life out of the cemetery,i gave this a three just for the first half of the film,,i was waiting for it to warm up but turned out to be as cold as death itself, this could have been a good film ,after seeing the trailer to this with a few crazy moments i believed this was going to be a funny crazy film, but i quickly realised that the few funny moments in the trailer were the few jokes i laughed at in the movie with not much more laughs, unless your a very serious fan of zombie/horror comedy i would give this a miss
