The Danger of Positive Thinking (2018)
Not as bad as people are saying
This is a watchable movie. Not great, but it was fun. It's definitely not a 1 or 2 like people are giving it.
It was weird how the actors looked so similar in age, even thought they're not. The son is 21, the stalker is 25 and the parents are 35. Teenagers in movies are often played by actors in their 20s. Like this movies namesake, Pretty Little Liars whose 4 main actresses were in their 20s even though they were playing high schoolers.
Anyway, it's worth a watch for mindless escapism. I enjoyed it.
The Walking Dead: The Grove (2014)
An amazing episode of television
This is an incredible episode of television. In my top 10 of all time, of any show. It is a masterpiece. A work of art.
The writing, direction, sound, acting; the acting was superb. It only focused on 4 characters and they all did an amazing job. Especially Carol and Lizzie.
From the opening scene to the ending credits I was enthralled. And it may even be better on rewatch. The most haunting line I've heard came from Lizzie, "Don't worry, she'll come back". Such a fantastic delivery from a young actress. In that moment you knew something was different.
2036 Origin Unknown (2018)
Good cerebral SciFi
I give this a solid 7-8. It's a good sci-fi movie in the classic sense. I have to admit I'm not quite sure what happened at the end but it was a good journey and I liked the ending the way I can interpret it.
All these super low reviews are off base. If you like sci-fi and have more than the attention span of a gnat, which unfortunately a lot of people don't these days, you'll enjoy this movie. If you need explosions and non stop action to keep your attention span, go watch a Michael Bay film for the 10th time and don't bother with a movie that might actually require a little thought processing.
Fallen (2016)
Great idea, good movie
I loved the idea. And liked the movie. But how is Hermione Corfield a top billed cast? I had to look at her pictures and zoom way in to even guess at which character she played. I think it's was the blonde girlfriend of the main guy who was in he movie for about 5 minutes total. Lola Kirke as Penn stole the show though, I loved her.
Would You Rather (2012)
Don't watch this movie
Trust me, don't watch this steaming pile of garbage. It had some actors I knew so I figured it couldn't be that bad, right? Wrong.
Emelie (2015)
One messed up show
I like thrillers, mystery and suspense but not if it's wah disturbing. This is some seriously messed up stuff. I can't help but think even the child actors shouldn't be put in these positions.
Game of Thrones: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (2019)
One of the best episodes of Game of Thrones
This is one of the best episodes of the show. This is a character episode. We get fantastic character moments and that is always what has made Game of Thrones so good. Such good closure for so many of them. In fact, I wish I would have stopped watching here. Unfortunately, I won't ever be able to go back and watch this fantastic episode because of what happens in E4-5. So if you're new to GoT, seriously consider stopping after this episode and make up the ending yourself.
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
Butchered characters
I wouldn't have thought it possible for a TV show to butcher so many of its characters in the final season but Game of Thrones has done it. Ruined character arcs, nonsensical character behavior, sharp turns seemingly just for shock value, ridiculous actions for apparently no reason other than the plot needed it to happen. The characters are what always made Game of Thrones masterful and now its all just thrown out the window. And nothing they do in the last episode is going to be able to fix it. This will no doubt go down as one of the worst character endings for a show of all time.
Roswell: The End of the World (2000)
One of the best episodes of Roswell
This is one of the best episodes of Roswell. I would be so bold as to say that it is one of the best episodes of television ever.
It's nearly perfect. I can watch it over and over and love it every time.
This episode has nothing to do with the the overall storyline really. It is not "true" within the context of the series. It is a fantastic character and relationship episode.
It has it all. Romance, drama, Sci-Fi, humor, some of the best scenes and lines of the series. And the ending scene, just perfect.
From the opening scene and the scene of Maria, Liz and Alex driving to see Madame Vivian to the ending scene of Max and Liz dancing it is a fantastic journey that encapsulates all the characters and their relationships.
