powerful & beautiful movie
24 April 2006
it is hard to insert this movie in words, but I tried: American Beauty is a beautiful, powerful, stunning & ... movie. you should watch that carefully, every scenes are about corruption in America.it shoes that you can be so happy with the least things that you have, you see a man that enjoy his death, so you can enjoy everything.

I can not tell anything because you know it is MASTERPIECE.

Kevin Spacey is great as Lester Burnham, he is my favorite actor and this is one of his greatest role.his personality change for 3 times in this movie, and he did it fantastic. thank you Kevin Spacey. other performances is great too

it's screenplay is one of the best ever, you can think about all of it's sentences and find some thing interesting.

one of my friend changed his life with this movie because he thinks he was like Lester Burnham before watching this movie.I learn many things from this film too.

I offer this movie to everyone that think his life is boring.

repetition
24 April 2006
before that I watch it I thought it is a masterpiece, but when I watched it I I understood that is not. it has a repetition story because The Godfather & Scarface told about corruption of power before. I gave it 6 stars because directing and performances are fantastic but the story....???!!!! runtime is 145 minutes but it seems 245 minutes.Scarface & The Godfather are about 170 minutes but they seem 120 minutes.that is for repetition story again. I forgot to say Joe Pesci was fantastic. I hope that fans of Goodfellas excuse me for this comment,

this is mine

I never forget this film

It was a fantastic movie and it has a shocking ending. The performances was great specially Gerard Depardieu. It was one of the best mystery films after The Usual Suspects. And I think it should be in top 250 but it is not.

The direction was brilliant and you can not guess the ending. We can not forget the screen play all of It's words was amazing. All of the film is an investigation but you never feeling tired and I think the direction and screen play make it like this. You see this movie when you have an open mind because it makes some question in your mind. At last: I really enjoyed that and I gave it 10/10

It doesn't get any better than this! This movie has got everything. The most impressive thing about this movie was definitely the battle scenes. It's an extremely well made movie and nobody except William Wallace himself could have done this better than Mel Gibson. This is without any doubt one of the 10 best movies of all time.mel Gibson is very good The most impressive thing about this movie was definitely the battle scenes. one of the best film i have seen ever

The Usual Suspects" is a complicated puzzle of a movie that I bet you can't watch just once. The film deals with five career crooks who have big plans after they are all brought together in a police lineup. However, their mayhem is interrupted by a mysterious character named Kaiser Sose who plans to eliminate all five of the crooks after they all crossed him in various ways during their checkered pasts. An amazing original screenplay and tight direction keep up a substantial amount of tension throughout. Gabriel Byrne, Stephen Baldwin, Benicio Del Toro, Kevin Pollak, Pete Postlethwaite, and Chazz Palminteri all give top-notch performances. But it is Kevin Spacey (in an Oscar-winning part) that makes "The Usual Suspects" work on all levels. This part put him in a higher class of actors and can be compared to Robert DeNiro's star-making job in "The Godfather, Part II". 5 stars out of 5.

very good

A true 90's cowboy movie, everyone who saw El Mariachi could foresee that this picture would take the concept to the top. Fast-paced, greatly shot, incredibly edited, this movie refuses to take itself seriously and is well-succeeded in so. Antonio Banderas is the perfect Mariachi, adding a new depth to the first movie's main character. He seeks revenge. Revenge for all the things they did to him. And he will get it, the easy way or the hard way. Fellow Portuguese Joaquim de Almeida is Bucho, the villain, whose relationship with El Mariachi turns out quite surprising near the end. Until they both meet, there will be much gun-slinging action to fill the screen with anthological scenes, like the bar fight, the "Quedate Aqui" song and the final showdown. The movie is a comedy, even in the action scenes. I guarantee it, it's two hours of fun and a visible influence of the Westerns and B-Movies in someone's talent. Cracking good fun, which becomes addictive. Memorable movie.

great

The Zorro legend, slicked up with slam-bang, high-tech, expensive effects, so that it resembles an action-flick or a high-budget martial arts movie. Anthony Hopkins is surprisingly--though nicely--cast as an elderly Zorro passing his skills and knowledge(not to mention his cape and mask!)onto a Latin fugitive who soon becomes a well-trained fighter for the people. The bad guys here are , heartless Spaniard officials, sadistic in a cartoon manner in much the same way Antonio Banderas' new Zorro is dopey and yet dashing. There's plenty of sword fights and anachronistically modern jokes, a saucy side-line romance, well-made but distressingly unsubtle. All the dust and noisy action Hollywood can dream up can't help "Mask of Zorro" escape the feeling that there's no real personality at work. It's an epic--but only in generic terms.
