So nice to see a gory, gleeful, cheerfully unrealistic homage to 80's horror with nary a depression metaphor or elevated theme to be seen. It did have the modern horror standard unsympathetic slash abusive white mum, but you can't have everything. Plot was bonkers confusing, at least theee movies all smooshed into one, but which one of you twisted lads was watching for the plot? Not me. Loads of fun!

Note to horror creators: please stop casting multiple protagonists in the same movie who are femme presenting, of similar build, white brunettes with big dark eyes. I cannot tell them apart and lose track of who's murdering whom.

Oh, this one gave me some feelings - not the ones I was anticipating, though, which is fun!

1. Katherine I LOVE YOU you massive, massive dork.

2. Rome and Regina are literally the perfect couple.

3. I am both happy that Peter got his head kicked in and relieved that it wasn't Gary who did the kicking. That said, he straight up saw both their faces, ugh. And Gary is winding tighter and tighter every minute - no way that rubber band isn't going to snap and take somebody's eye out. I just hope that all his friends are as supportive of him as he has been of them.

4. Maggie's new coworker is a sh!tbag and you will not convince me otherwise. I can see they're setting him up to be redeemed, maybe even a new love interest for Maggie, but NO. I will be honestly furious if this happens, for the following reason: angry men who slam doors/hit furniture do it on purpose to intimidate. They know exactly how scary it is for women in particular. It is always a threat of violence, no matter what they say otherwise. This guy was a d!ck from minute one and he has abuser written all over him. I would be afraid to be in a room with him. (Disclaimer: I'm sure the actor himself is lovely and I am not implying in any way that he is violent or abusive IRL).

I'm not going to lie to you Marge, for the most part I'm watching the Gary and Maggie Show here and have done since the pilot. BUT. That is not to say I don't enjoy (most of) the the characters and plot arcs, because the acting all around is phenomenal and the writing is largely spot on and Romany Malco has the prettiest eyes ever owned by a man. Also: you will pry Secretly Bisexual Katherine from my wizened claws.

Like a few other other folks I found the season premiere quite low key and the departure of Delilah gave it the feel of a finale rather than the first ep of a 20 ep season. That said, although I find the actor utterly delightful I am not a fan of Delilah and she can keep that mess in France, thank you. But Danny! Our growed up baby gay! Why would they take him from us??

Dear show, I would welcome the following:

• the return of Danny;
• the awakening of Peter with Mysterious Amnesia only to have Sophie beat the stuffing out of him a second time until he pees himself and leaves the country;
• an episode dedicated to the 'comfort' part of the epic hurt/comfort fanfiction that is Gary's life complete with hugs and Found Family Movie Night and oh who am I kidding just tuck that man into bed with a hot chocolate and Colin, we'll call it good.
