OVERRATED
19 December 2023
When it came out the hype was big. At the trailers they showed their best bits, but you didn´t know that beforehand. And by the time you finish the movie you realize it was all a waste of limitless talent.

I have nothing against any of these people. But, to me, it´s all forced comedy. They tried too hard to make things funny. It´s a big production with lots of A-star actors, but it doesn´t make it better. They come too short in the execution of comedy. The only exception is Robert Downey jr. And his amazing character. Stiller gave us the other good element in the film. Sadly, Jack Black´s character didn´t make me laugh at all, and the rest just served as supporting cast when you expected big things from them. Tom Cruise´s phone-call was indeed funny.

It was a long underdone comedy.

I laughed harder and longer at many other smaller comedies than this. It´s a shame, but they flew too close to the sun.

Warning: Spoilers
*Some spoilers ahead*

I don't care if this show is "the perfect end-of-summer, light hearted show for comic fans, mcu fans, and general viewers alike" like someone posted before. It's poorly written.

The way She became a hulk was silly, the way He healed his body anew after using the gems of Infinity. What about that non sequitur woman villain at the end with horrible visual effects?

This deserved a two episode arc with deeper character development and THEN you can make the rest of it light-hearted.

Of course i'm going to watch the series, but cmon writers/producers use your brains a little!!

A missed opportunity
21 March 2021
When it came out it didn't cause a big impression on me. To have Pacino and De Niro in a film was to be the event of the decade, but for me it turned out to be a little dissappointing. I blame the script, mainly. Perhaps the producers and director were more concerned with the action scenes instead of building the drama and give these actors enough range to work with. Val Kilmer participation was a waste of talent. They could have given the part to somebody else and it wouldn't have made any difference. Perhaps Kilmer pushed for the role in order to share a movie with these two legends, but i don't know. It still puzzles me.

A great conclusion, given the circumstances...
23 December 2019
JJ Abrams had a very difficult task at hand. So far, I´ve had no explanations on how they could allow Ryan Johnson to direct such a disaster. People complaining that the story told in this new trilogy was not of epic proportions, was due to the fact that ep VIII ruined that possibility. Lucky for us, JJ found a way to stop the bleeding and give us a very entertaining ep IX with very nice surprises, great tributes to the whole saga, great chemistry among the whole cast and a very suitable conclusion for many characters and for the whole story that began with The Phantom Menace. The most important ingredient for any movie is its story. Is this story what JJ Abrams thought when he wrote ep VII? Possibly, yes. And if they had developed that story throughout ep VIII and IX, then a much more compelling saga we would have had. I believe that this episode rivals in entertainment with ep IV and V. So IMHO, you are in for a treat,

Nurse Jackie (2009–2015)

still catching my breath...

This is some refreshing taste of hospital drama mixed with dark comedy.

í

Jackie is a well developed character that fits Mrs. Falco like a glove. The depth in the personality she creates is vast, just like with the rest of the main characters. Even though not all of them shine, they have potential. All their story lines do. There are so many opportunities for the writing staff to convey to make it the next big hit after Californication or House.

í

This is the strong female icon show that prime-time has been waiting for years.

A fun thing to watch
27 June 2005
I remember watching this movie when I was a little kid and what a great time I had at doing so! Because, when you're this young you just don't care about plots or film-making. So, if you sit back and analyze this flick you won't find many Oscar winning angles, but that is not what this movie is trying to achieve. We just may call this another typically silly Tom Hank's early age's movie that many have come to love at first sight.

Simply put, this movie is all about funny situations and the comical performances of Tom Hanks and the dog (that dog was a great actor!). Nowadays, I continue to enjoy it because the "chemistry" between Hanks and the dog is very good!
