Men (2022)
Underrated suspense
It's abstract but not hard to figure out the imagery. Not a finely crafted piece but entertaining enough. There were no lies told, and I certainly can relate as a woman.
Just enough suspense to keep it interesting and if that's your genre you'll enjoy it for that alone. Drags on a bit in the end and completely jumps the shark, becomes grotesque, completely indulgent, which is a shame. You'll know it when it happens-you can scroll to the very few minutes for a bit of closure.
The actors are amazing, as they usually are. Jessie has a great voice. I'd like to hear her sing someday.
That's it!!
Workin' Moms (2017)
What Happened??
The difference between the first few seasons and the last 2 is remarkable. Did they completely swap out the writing team? Really perplexing. I loved the first seasons and now I can barely stand to watch. Sad.
The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window (2022)
Helps to be a Fan of the Genre!
Entertaining for those of us who have read the books and seen the movies. Very clever in parts, very funny in others. Well-acted throughout. Those looking for a cohesive, realistic storyline should keep looking.
Single Drunk Female (2022)
A Solid 7
Yes, there is a very diverse cast, which seems to threaten some people, but so what? The show has some genuinely funny moments. It's a comedy, with a light-hearted approach-definitely not "Days of Wine and Roses", but genuine truths can be found. Enjoyable. Give it a couple episodes.
The Nightingale (2018)
Riveting
Highly recommended. Right blend all the things that make a movie great. Definitely worth your time. And mind. You won't be disappointed. Tell a friend.
The Big Leap (2021)
Don't Think I Can Do It
Really wanted to like this show, but I just can't pretend the dancing isn't terrible. Some funny lines, some funny bits, but not enough to keep me watching.
The Underground Railroad (2021)
Work of Art
People stating this series is like any other slavery related drama have clearly not watched the series in its entirety or even past a few minutes. Don't let their bias prevent you from enjoying a rich, moving, experience.
Them (2021)
Binged! Worth it!
Overly ambitious, lots of miss-steps, but so much is thrilling, clever, ingenious. Beautifully crafted, filmed and acted. Predict a bright future for the filmmakers.
One Step Beyond: The Burning Girl (1959)
Hey, Stephen King!
Are you *sure* you didn't see this episode?
Seems awful familiar... ;)
Behind Her Eyes (2021)
Intriguing and entertaining....but a bit of a predictable let down at the end.
....but a bit of a predictable free-fall at the end.
Still worth a watch!
The Blood on Satan's Claw (1971)
Totally Underrated
All the themes of classic and contemporary horror movies rolled up in one. And an incredible score. Don't miss it!
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017)
I feel like having a eulogy for the series
Season 3 is just awful. It just is. Did they completely replace the writers? I only watch because the performers are brilliant, and I love the sets. But the jokes are stale stale stale and the scenarios ridiculous and beneath the integrity of the characters. A sad demise is imminent save an effective intervention.
Marriage Story (2019)
Honest and Touching Portrayal
Everything about the movie-script, direction, performances, are stellar. If you're married you'll appreciate it, if you're divorced you'll appreciate it more.
Watchmen (2019)
It's Awesome!
Creative, funny, mysterious, beautiful cinematography, superb acting. Don't let the haters dissuade you!
Lady in White (1988)
Give it a chance; you'll be surprised!
Hard to explain what's special about this movie, but it is. The exposure of the tragedy of racial prejudice and injustice is just one element.
Trick 'r Treat (2007)
Annual Treat in Our House!
We love every aspect of this movie, and we are not new to the genre. Give it a try and see for yourself!
Fractured (2019)
If You're 12.
An elementary treatment of the genre. Annoying.
Went on way too long. Skip it.
