The Orville: Sanctuary (2019)
Best episode of the season (for a sector of the audience)
In its twelfth episode of the second season, "The Orville" concludes its season not with a bang but with a masterstroke of intelligent and meaningful storytelling that caters to its more discerning viewers. This episode, arguably the best of the season, is a testament to the show's ability to balance science fiction with profound messages and character-driven narratives.
The comedy is present but significantly toned down, allowing the episode's message and the characters' growth to take center stage. This restrained approach to humor enriches the story, ensuring that the comedic elements do not overshadow the episode's more profound themes.
The central message of this episode is a nuanced exploration of ethical dilemmas and moral complexities, a theme that has been a cornerstone of the series but is delivered here with unprecedented sophistication. The narrative challenges viewers to ponder significant philosophical questions, weaving these into the fabric of the storyline seamlessly. The episode doesn't just entertain; it invites an intellectual engagement, asking its audience to reflect on the issues presented long after the credits have rolled.
Character development is where this episode truly shines. Each character's journey throughout the season culminates in a series of poignant moments, showcasing the writers' dedication to character arcs. The depth given to each character is remarkable, turning what could have been standard sci-fi archetypes into fully realized, three-dimensional beings with desires, fears, and complexities.
The House (2022)
Do not miss this work of art
The messages behind this 3 chapters are powerful and the slow motion art behind it is spotless. Watch it. I simply do not understand the low rating, probably is because people not used to adult animated cinema or specifically slow motion.
This is a solid 8, but I was think to rise it to 9 or 10 just to fix the unfair rating.
I don't want to spoil anything, just take into account that you have 3 episodes around half and hour each and you can watch them separately. Probably is Netflix split them it would be easier for people to get involved with a 3 episodes show instead of a movie.
It took me like a year to decide watch this, and I am glad I did it.
Dexter: New Blood: Sins of the Father (2022)
We have to accept this was the perfect ending
People like to live a never ending lie. Well, the hard truth: this was the best possible ending to our beloved Dexter. PERIOD. Probably one of the best endings in tv history (coming from a terrible ending eight years ago)
Invasion (2021)
Thanks to God I didn't read the reviews before watching this
This is probably the best Invasion movie/show ever made, but the problem is after a lot of very bad movies about this topic, the kind of viewers who would LOVE this drama are not going to watch it.
Viewers who don't want to think or enjoy a beautiful cinematography, please watch the one hundred dumd movies out there where people is eaten by aliens from the first second.
Raised by Wolves: The Beginning (2020)
It Is literally better to erase the final episode and leave it without an ending
I am writing this while watching the episode. I don't know if I am capable of finishing it. I will Google what a hell happened.
Community: Basic Sandwich (2014)
I love this show, but this is the worst episode. And is not in the gas leak year
But to be fiar, this is the only episode I didn't like
The Two Popes (2019)
Good but extremely overrated
First, the only accurate thing in this movie are the names of the two popes, and second there is a problem with cinematography.
Good but..
Dunkirk (2017)
I just watched the film again, love it even more
Is just amazing, but you have to watch this in a big screen, with a home theater to enjoy the power of this extremely well done film.
