BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage - LA (2022)
Did you really watch the whole show?
Pulling off the best they could that no one could ever done for 3 years of complicated countermeasures and many other obstacles throughout, BTS had finally came to ease their fans' emptiness after those months of patience within uncertainties. This is BTS's first offline concert since the 'LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF THE FINAL' in Seoul in 2019. Throughout the concert, BTS not only delivered performances that were pleasing to both the eyes and ears, but also to the audience.
BTS is rightfully deserved the amount of appreciation on this one for had successfully attracted as much as 813,000 spectators, including: 214,000 people watched the 4 nights of live performances at SoFi Stadium, 18,000 people watched the 'Live Play in LA' event at the YouTube Theater near the SoFi yard; 581,000 people bought tickets to stream online on the last night of the concert. In total, BTS' concert 'PTD ON STAGE LA' is estimated to earn 33.3 million USD, excluding sales of goods and online stream tickets.
The sold-out tickets for all 4 shows at SoFi, is the highest number of tickets sold in the history of this stadium. It is the highest-grossing show at a single venue in the last 10 years globally (the last time someone did this was when Roger Waters kicked off nine shows in 2012 in Buenos Aires, Argentina).
P.s. I will never interested to any start of argument if you're doubted about the quality of performance because let's just be real and watch the whole performance on Disney h+. It's BTS you're all about to questioned. They were facing 50,000 audience per day, the first time again to experience a close-interaction with the ARMYs after 3 years, it's probably the most exhausting and challenging festival they'd ever faced, but they nailed the all-7-members setlist (songs) with their dedicated performances and musical intelligence, solely to give equal experience towards all the fans attended there, and all the members to see their fans eye to eyes once more.
So, for any of you virialized others to hate these talented guys by leaving 1-star on the ratings, good luck with your own idols/fave artists because if any ways you thought to unrecognize BTS standard in music industry, it will in return, only got you less than unrecognized pathetic ones in the end.. Swallow reality and accept that it's always been BTS who paved the way✌🏻
BTS Permission to Dance on Stage - Seoul: Live Viewing (2022)
The amount of 1-star ratings, seriously? lol
Pulling off the best they could that no one could ever done for 2 years of complicated countermeasures and many other obstacles throughout, BTS had finally came to ease their fans' emptiness after those months of patience within uncertainties.
BTS is rightfully deserved the amount of appreciation on this particular kick-off stage for had successfully attracted as much as 1.02 million viewers from 191 countries/regions, within the three-day in-person concert that was attended by a total of 45,000 people. Due to this fact, tell me which Korean act could even generate those amount of numbers during the period of transition of COVID-19 regulations in the beginning of 2022, in their own country, South Korea? I believe none.
And I will never interested to start any unreasonable argument if you're doubted about the quality of performance because let's just be real and watch the whole performance here. It's BTS you're all about to questioned. They were facing 15,000 audience per day, with no shouts or any close-interaction due to the strict regulations back then in SK, it's probably the most exhausting and empty hall they'd ever faced, but they still brought us to a whole greater universe with their dedicated performances and musical intelligence.
So, for any of you virialized others to hate these talented guys by leaving 1-star on the ratings, good luck with your own idols/fave artists because any ways you tried to unrecognize the BTS standardization in music industry, will in turn, only got you below the border of nugus entertainer in the end too.. Just face reality that it's always been BTS who paved the way.
Cannibal Holocaust (1980)
Too disturbing..
I didn't even watch this one with the sound on, I play my music on spotify while finishing the whole scenes. Couldn't help to watch any scenes containing women or animals being slashed, slaughtered to death. Indeed a good one as the pioneer of found footage movie, but come on...not a single minute I could lock my eyes by witnessing those whole graphically violent scenes. Despite of whether it was done by special effects or real acts, this movie is too disturbing to enjoy spare times while eating or munching pop corns, lol. Bad, bad idea if you pick this one as a merely random thrillers pick.
Sebelum Iblis Menjemput (2018)
Glad that I review this after watching the ch.2
I honestly have prepared some positive reviews for this movie but then I witnessed a lot of trivia and other audience's review it was popularized by netflix users. Kinda agreed with most of the ranged 4 to 8 star reviews, but I refused to overhyped this movie to be worth up to 9 or 10 for its poorly executed plot and core thematic.
During the movie, as a horror fan (not too much into gory ones), the chills I felt was somehow escalating throughout the plot, but then I left doing other things in the middle of it and did not really interested to rewind the skipped part since (I believe) some plot and scenes were lack of originality as it mostly adopted (might be influenced?) by other thriller genres out there. Not bad anyway, this one's exceptionally good for horror production by Indonesian, but it has zero novelty to deliver or worth to remember indefinitely.
But thanks to other same-year horror films by Indonesian too, this one's stood out as one of my favorite and more-recommended sequel to spend the long weekend with my cousins. The adopted and adapted scenes were nicely done, the jump scares were unending (might have been much better if it has dynamics to keep the thrills up without continuously screening those bloods and jumps), and the actors could have been more logically contributive throughout the clueless stories (please fill the holes in the plot, not just sticking genuinely to its retarded situation). But overall, I will still recommend this one for a family gathering or quality time at homes, satnight movie's choice, anything, because you'll witness the 'brighter side' of horror production by Indonesian team and actors. Well done!
The Doll (2016)
Just once enough
I picked this movie for the a long weekend's choice as it's said that the 3rd sequel will be released this year. I believe I've watched it few years ago but not sure it was memorable enough to make me intentionally re-watch it in 2022. The Doll (2016) is one of those cheesy creation by Indonesian that finally caught my full attention in the last 10 mins (at least) after the appearance of Sara Wijayanto, tbh. I decided to grasp the entire lame conversation and plot in the first 20 mins but still can't help dozing off because its raw execution of scenarios, irrational bridging, or even the poor roles. So, I jumped the cursor to the last 20 mins and finally, a fruitful stories to witness.
I usually don't count the stars I gave to rate a film but as a proud Indonesian, I felt obliged to address my reviews for a better execution of horror movies in the future, especially in collaboration with the best production house and movie stars like this one.
1st star = for the actors choice and location
2nd star = for the adopted and adapted scenes from conjuring series. Yes it was smooth anyways, but I love horror genres and conjuring universe is one of a hail series deserved to re-watch, thus I recognized "that" parts you used and re-created
3rd star = for the special effects and logical impact during the thrilling scenes only
4th star = for a light moral value by Mrs. Sara as usual. I love DMS, might this be a biased comment but her narratives were virtuous for us who still alive.
I previously planned to watch the 2nd sequel, The Doll 2, but seeing the first one was kinda like this, I might re-think first.
A Daughter's Ordeal (2020)
3 different titles, same blackhole
So, i found this film on Fox Movies and its title was "Death by Friendship". Thinking it was good to watch another thrilling film with an obvious title, which may give some twisted ending i wouldn't had expected. But when i searched it here, its title was "Friend who kill" and "A daughter's ordeal". Ok. But it didn't change the fact that the plot wasn't even there and just another usual psychotic friend movie, added by the slow-witted detective + father and a helpless mother. Don't even hope for a built character, this film served nothing but a disappointment.
Hereditary (2018)
Upgraded rate from the first impression💫
I watched this in the same year the film released, 2018, and re-watched it on 2019 with colleagues, inspired me to rate it 7/10. Idk what was my impression on both two moments back then, but today, on 2021 I accidentaly watched it again on fox mov, from the moment his sister was dead until the rest of the horror happenings in this house (i didn't watch it from the beginning today), I realized nobody has ever done it like Hereditary. No film or series. No one. Just none. Its originality, its horrifying truth, the character building, its graphics and vulgarity throughout the scenes, just left me nothing but nightmare tonight.
Might be other side effects after watched the Midsommar, too, last year? Who knows
Fifty Shades Freed (2018)
Lmfao
Bahkan sinetron indonesia sptnya ikut tertawa melihat ini 🤣
No plots, no impression to any problems/triggers arisen, nor even the moral values could be received😂
Cheese in the Trap (2018)
Good representation, lack of roles
I could say.. I'm a big fan of Cheese in the Trap since its manhwa was posted in Line WebToon couple of years ago. I've read them day by day till I found out that it will be presented as a Drama in 2016. That'd be the very first drama I see, too, back then. (ps. I didn't get into Korean things before). After its arrival in 2016, turns out I appreciated the series more than I expected, though the story lines went farther than its comic at some points. Then I got news that this story is once again would be packaged for a movie in 2017. That became the next highest anticipation I felt after its series done.
What I'm about to say is, as a movie enthusiast and a big fan of this project, I'm a little bit disappoint with this version somehow. The story line's very good for at least representing its comic, but for some reasons, I found it strange that I referred to the drama version more than the movie. Maybe the first impression that was made from drama's characters brought the movie risen up to a whole new level expectation for us. Park Hae Jin represented Yoo Jung seonbae once again in a very best way (just like Yoo Jung character was built from himself). Oh Yeon Seo could be a fit character for Hong Seol physically, but not characteristically. I expected Hong Seol who was live with more confusion, shyness, vagueness and cleverness just like once acted by Kim Go Eun. And of course for Baek's sibling, they need to do at least portraying those recklessness, cunning, and unbeatable sides of them, just like once played by Seo Kang Joon & Lee Sung Kyung.
When I was reviewing about the main roles as above, I felt the more expectation level rose up to other roles as well. I might gave 5/10 stars for this movie for bringing the rests of the stories that was never brought up in its series. But over all, I couldn't thank you all enough for the characters here. I hope this would never happen again in the future of kdrama or kmovies world, for exploiting a masterpiece story into a profitable business. Thank you
