Run Sweetheart Run (2020)
What a bloody obsession period!
The most repeated word in the movie was probably tampon. Delving into such graphic details and recurrent references (to a woman's period) throughout the movie created a sense of disgust that would be second to only to faeces.
I couldn't really gather from all the violence and blood shed, the whole point of the movie. Was it a gender battle or good vs evil or woman vs evil? I am still Clueless!
The leading roles were well played by the respective actors, I would give the movie that. However, the lack of depth and plot renders their efforts purposeless. It would have been better to have spend the time and money building a better story line than mindless violence and gore.
The Reef (2010)
Realistic gripping film
One wrong decision can turn out very costly. The film captures the story really well. I couldn't help but feel
Transported to the middle of the big blue.
On account of proximity to real life, this film does very well.
Dead Before Dawn (1993)
Kept you in your seats till the end
The story took off straight from the beginning. No time wasted in character building. The story telling was exceptional and gave enough screen time for emotional buildup, especially the struggle the family goes through in the light of the shocking discovery.
On the whole a well-made movie.
All I See Is You (2016)
Keeps you engaged till the end
This is one movie that is highly underrated.
Perhaps, the slow paced and seeming lead the viewer to nowhere. The plot thickens only towards the latter part in the movie, by which there isn't much time to leave the viewer guessing on the outcome.
One can draw parallels into several relationships today, compromise vs confrontation.
