The Princess Bride (1987)
A worthwhile movie.
One of the best movies I'v seen, definitely. It's also one of the rare ones that are all around perfect. Cary Elwes is beautiful, and fun, and great to watch. His attitude and the way he acted fitted his role so wonderful words can't describe. Romance was beautiful. Comedy parts were funny. Bad guys looked and sounded like bad guys. Some parts were a little bit scary when they needed to be. It was believable and witty. Most things and people looked real, and the things that didn't, you didn't mind, because it didn't ruin much of the effect of what the scene tried to convey. In the end, it was inspiring and fulfilling, where in the end, you felt closure and it finished off nicely. Excellent movie!
Passport to Paris (1999)
More glitz and glam.
Once again, another movie, but same plot, same things that happen, same old same old. They go to a different country where they meet new guys, see new places, and shop. It's no telling it's pretty easy to say how the movie is going to end and what happens. I really like Mk and A, I really do. I love them in fact. I think they bring this 'cute' and really cool thing to all their movies, sometimes even making their characters seem perfect. We don't fall for the things their feeling, and we don't believe their problems are actual problems. The way they solve their problems are so... clear and predictable. Maybe they should create some twist or turn? Once again, saying it is a cute movie, but to make it into a movie considered awesome? Needs more thought.
When in Rome (2002)
When in Rome Starring Mk and A
This movie, was quite boring. I love Mk and A, and I'm one of their greatest fans, but the plot and problem? Pretty lame. There was no excitement at all. None! It was pretty cool they chose to do the movie in Rome though, and I like seeing the sights of Rome. I think they looked beautiful in this movie. It looked natural and not too overdone. Once again, with the boys? Maybe their movie should stop being about traveling the world and solving mysteries and more about teenage stuff, which teenagers might like to watch. It wasn't a disappointment, but not something I would jump up and down screaming about either. I still support Mk and A as actors, but I think their purpose of the movies and the point of watching, should take a turn of maybe turning into something more exciting.
The Challenge (2003)
This movie was pretty cool.
Have anyone seen The Even Stevens Movie? I think in a way, it's a lot alike. 'The Challenge' reminded me of that movie anyway. I've seen it and I guess it is pretty cool, a big change to the usual Mk and A movies. The movie, felt like it ended to quickly. It seemed like 'The Challenge' the show Mk and A was on, the events happened a little too quickly and something was missing. But... FINALLY a plot that isn't like all their other movies. It was cool seeing Mk and A in a movie where their not 'great' sisters, and having a sister is all glitz and glam. Every movie, there's always a boy, for each of them. Why not both of them wrestling over the same one? I think that's more entertaining to watch. And why is the boy always coming to them. Why not they go to the boys? Somehow the change might help make the movie more interesting and not so plain and simple. But I got to say I liked the movie. I would say... you SHOULD watch it.
New York Minute (2004)
New York Minute? Didn't exactly meet my expectations.
When I first saw a preview of this movie, I thought it was one of those movies that would be great! I thought Mary-Kate and Ashley finally made a movie... that fits in with all the movies thats usually being watched, that fits in with theater movies. I was so psyched to finally go to theaters to watch it, and it was sadly, didn't really quite meet up to my expectations. In my head, I thought it would be really cool. Mary-Kate and Ashley doing something new and all. The way it was put together, the plot was pretty good. With the exception of getting near to the ending, it became kind of lame. The ending was good, but getting to the end wasn't all that good. Throughout the movie, you couldn't really 'say' Roxy was into rock and being a rebel, they didn't get a chance to play the character out too well. Side note, MK and A looked beautiful in the movie. They really looked very pretty. The choice of music was also pretty good. I guess the movie could have been better, change the way your about to end it, and it'll be great. Once again, I would say I loved it. I would advise seeing it yourself because it is good. But like all the rest of Mk and A movies, your thinking? It was good, but not too great. Cute, but not cool.
Holiday in the Sun (2001)
To me, it was okay.
Holiday in the Sun, was probably the best movie I've seen of the Mary-kate and Ashley movies. I watched their newer movies before, and then watched Holiday in the Sun, they act so different. They do seem a little too involved with themselves, but I still think they come out cute. The point of the movie? Might of been showing off how pretty they've gotten. But being a Mary-Kate and Ashley fan, I love seeing them in movies. Maybe if the movie they make, have better plots, and better actors acting with them, their movies would be amazing! Sadly, Holiday in the Sun is a little annoying to watch too many times, if you first watch it, it is quite good. How they solved the antique mystery was pretty... unrealistic and a little impossible. How did they do it so quickly? And why so far into the movie a mystery suddenly comes up?
