Lexa was the kind of character we do not see often. Extremely well written, layered, and played. She will be awfully missed. So... she is dead.
But the worst is:
Why kill her in this stupidest way? This is just plain silly. The way it happens is silly.
O scriptwriter, O show-runner, please tell me: 1/ where were her guards? Why a warrior like her would enter a room, unarmed, without guards, after hearing gunshots? The same guards magically appearing after her death? They were RIGHT BEHIND THAT F*** DOOR! 2/ Clarke, who is almost a doctor, and loves her dearly, who managed to save quite a few lives in the past, DOES NOT EVEN THINK THEY MIGHT HAVE HEALERS IN THAT TOWER to help her?
This is bad writing. Too bad, the rest of the episode was quite intense, but that last bit, really... spoiled everything.
And I am not even talking about the damage it has done to the LGBT community, especially the youth (whom CW targets). To show an independent and strong woman, a warrior, stupidly dying by accident, by the hand of a patriarchal figure no less, RIGHT after she had consummated her relationship with the woman of her life. What message is that!!!? Especially after having LURED them to watch this "groundbreaking show"? Nothing groundbreaking here... Just an old trope seen a thousands times.
Only the actors saved this episode. Special kudos to Alycia Debman-Carey (already missing you!), Eliza Taylor (I'll keep watching The 100 only because of you), and Erica Cerra (impressive in that one).
