Women in the Front Seat (2023)
Moving Story!
Tremendous documentary sharing a slice in the life motorcycle lovers and adventure lovers. It goes beyond mere passion for hitting the open road on your favorite bike, but moves deeper into the inner meaning of seeking out new and exciting places and adventures that are edifying and healing. Women in the Front Seat also motivates the viewer to chase their passions and dreams while there is still time. Though the film is a love letter to those with a passions for bikes and charting courses on the open road, its lessons apply universally to fulfill any passion, dream or calling. Combined with a host of colorful characters, sweeping cinematography, and a great sound track, this is a documentary that shapes a viewing experience you won't want to miss!
Move Me No Mountain (2023)
Beautiful Title For A Beautiful Film
Tremendous writing, acting, directing and cinematography frame this beautiful story. The narrative is at once challenging and inspiring. The film is at times heart-wrenching, at times encouraging, but always engaging. It is in many ways a parable of grief of any kind and the challenges and discovery that are possible through it. It is a cautionary tale of the dangers of the darkness and potential self-destruction that exists beneath the surface, not only of Sin City, but in all cities across the country. Move Me No Mountain also puts a real face to the plight of the homeless and the brokenness they share with all of us. Hopefully this film moves many to compassion toward the sufferings of others as well as our own. Highly recommend.
The Other Side of Darkness (2022)
Great Story Telling
Interesting take on a possible future. The film's pacing is a slow-burn with an excellent payoff at the end. The cinematography is very fluid and high end with wonderful aerial shots that add both intrigue and production value to this well thought out film. The multiple storylines are well paced and structured and each leads to a rewarding plot payoff and character arc. The action is enough to keep interest and the plot moving forward without being overly distracting in and of itself. It's clear a lot of thought was put into this film and the payoff is a tightly structured, well-crafted indie that makes for a very interesting viewing experience. I recommend this one.
Toxic Impulses (2022)
A Thrill A Minute
From the opening bang to the unpredictable climax, Toxic Impulses kept me glued to the film. The ensemble cast deliver compelling and believable performances that keep the plot constantly moving forward. The voice overs, a Noir convention that can be problematic if overused or misplaced, work flawlessly in Toxic Impulses. They provide just enough insight into the characters and plot to keep the film driving forward, without being overused or giving away too much. The cinematography is top notch, with natural lighting that isn't overly stylized or distracting from the plot and characters. Rate this film a 10 and encourage everyone to give it a watch!
Daddy's Divas (2022)
Terrific Family Comedy
Tremendous mixture of emotion, bittersweet, sad, and just plain fun. The acting of all the cast, young and grown, was top notch. The writing was all at once identifiable and endearing. The visuals are bright and well thought out. The ordinary world of a family was accurately captured, making the film even more relatable. Good character and character build up throughout the show. Would be great to see this show developed into a feature length film at some point, as it could function very well in that capacity I believe. That said, the narrative and characters certainly lend themselves well to episodic content. Definitely recommend!
Solid Rock Trust (2022)
Terrific Cinematography
Thrill ride that will keep you guessing. Great performances and cinematography lift this film to the next level. A great crime fiction thriller that fuses a high tech plot with classic storytelling. Particularly powerful is the well executed female lead. She's smart, tough and brilliantly played by Koko Marshall. Although the film is set in one place, the plot, pacing, and performances keep driving the film forward without a hitch. Held my attention until the end. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommend to anyone looking for a well made, fast paced thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Myth (2020)
Worthy Film!!
"Myth" instantly carves out a worthy space for itself in the film within a film genre. The performances ares simultaneously complex and subtle. That alone is an incredible feat for any filmmaker to pull off, let alone first time feature filmmaker Brian DiLorenzo. The plot also skillfully plumbs the line between unpredictability and excess complexity. The pacing is solid and well thought out. The visuals are very well executed and the 80's, vintage vibe is hard not to like. I'd say this work had a skilled hand at the helm. If this film is just the start of Brian DiLorenzo's career, I'm genuinely excited to see where it blossoms from here. Def give it a watch!
Kin Dread (2021)
Unique Indie Cuts Its Own Course
Has a vibe sort of like the off beat classics of David Lynch, but is not at all derivative. Charts its own course and successfully navigates away from typical indie pitfalls like being overly introspective or derivative of other films. Thoughtful, haunting and very well executed. I definitely recommend this one!
The Berlin Bride (2019)
Layered thriller
Skillfully executed film captured in a warm, vintage fantasy world. Layers of meaning and depth fill this movie as it puts forth compelling questions about the state of man. Also, was refreshing to see some analogue content that had originated on 16mm film, since that is such a wonderful medium, immediately placing the audience in a place of unreality. Very much recommend!
The Crumbs (2020)
Very entertaining
This one struck a successful balance between horror and gore. Not over the top in any direction. This film relies on solid scripting, pacing and interesting characters. Had a neo-Addams Family vibe, too which is cool! Definitely recommend!
Howard Original (2020)
Entertaining!
Well thought out look at the creative writing process. Solid pacing and well rounded performances sell the abstract nature of the film's subject matter very well.

Thought provoking look at the mind of an artist! Perspective shift combined with strong visuals and compelling performances move this indie to a higher level. Very carefully thought out film. Glad I came across this one.

This horror/ suspense flick is a love letter to 80's horror. Scary, thrilling, and perfectly timed. If you love the classic slasher films, this one won't disappoint!

Wow
Courageous filmmaking at it best. Timeless relative to the human spirit but timely relative to the current geopolitical landscape. Beautiful. Haunting. Thought provoking. Truly a masterpiece.
