Miss Match (2014)
8/10
Glamour and Glitter first time in marathi cinema
31 May 2015
The Film Miss Match is all about glamor and glitter for first time in marathi cinema. It feels proud to be away from poverty and historical issues.Marathi community is full of culture and richness. Miss Match makes you feel that. It looks at par with any other bollywood film. Song Ashilajri ratra reminds of Sanjay Leela Bhansali kind of creativity. Plot is good but the length of the film takes the audience away for a while out of curiosity but soon you feel in the loop. At places it feels you are watching a hit TV show but at places it also gives you all those shots of A-lister Bollywood directors. Director has done a fine job. Music gives you relax but its not too good. A-lister singers have done justice to the film. Ganesh Acharya kind of choreography can be noticed in the song Bolna. Location of this song is too refreshing. Costumes are good. Performance of Bhushan Pradhan, Uday Tikekar and debutant Mrinmai Kolwalkar do justice to their characters. On the whole movie is worth a watch.
