See Bad Lieutenant now
3 April 2022
This is a movie of such intensity you will see why many think Harvey Keitel is overlooked as a fine, fine actor. DeNiro, busy at the time with a free-spending wife, forced to do, "Dirty Grandpa" for a paycheck. Keitel's love-life isn't any more successful than Bobby D'd, but Harvey does quality work. Like "Bad Lieutenant".

This isn't a casual watch on Friday night. He plays a very troubled cop, Detective. Watch this movie.

Just a Mess
2 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I've got at least 3000 movies, if you are really bored, need a movie, that I would recommend ahead of this piece of crap.

Directed by Gene Kelly, had to look that up to know - I'm sure that he was old and not in control of his faculties because it is a MESS.

I may not go on and on but I'll tell you this: it is everything detestable about musicals-Predictable melodies and rhythms, lyrics it mean nothing but because somebody's brother-in-law knew Irving Berlin, got a song in the show - mean this movie is a mass.

I'm Pretty Sure...

First of all I'm the biggest John Saxon fan in the whole world. I can't think of a time when this guy showed up and didn't do his job-wasn'' convincing in a role? Never!

Big budget!! US Givt war footage, which these guys could never afford, mixed in with like a cheap shot of bricks falling from a truck. (The cars they use are so old and decrepit, it's funny)

But I'm pretty sure the whole purpose of this movie is for someone to see as much nakediditty as Rosanna Schiaffino / censors will allow.

I walked away from the movie for a couple minutes, you know multitasking, this is the first movie I can think of that sounds like it's dubbed...and it's not.

Really wretched. Really wretched.

No, Really

Warning: Spoilers
Not one redeeming quality. Not 1. No, really.

You'll watch this clunker out of boredom, and every time you think the bad guy will get his,, he doesn't.

This movie sucks in more ways than you have sought in this life.

I don't know why but it's taken me 12 minutes to iPhone type that last sentence - and I never cared that much!!! Ever!!

This stupid movie is a stupid movie with 2good looking people get shot for no reason at end. Good night.

Solid James Colburn, Charles Bronson movie I'd give a 6.7. Very, very good. Surrounded by a great supporting cast including the legendary Strother Martin.

Worth the watch.

I Love This Movie
18 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Everyone in this movie is quite literally at the TOP of their game: Melanie Griffith, Nick Nolte have never been better. John Malkovich, Jennifer Connelly, Chazz Palminteri, Christopher Penn, Michael Madsen,... Fabulous music, great plot.

The plot centers around what's come to be called "The LA Hat Squad". There are probably three or four movies written about the same subject but none of them come close to the professionalism and virtue of this movie.

The plot centers around five LA Detectives who answered only to the LA Police commissioner. Their assignment and only responsibility was to keep the mafia out of Los Angeles. Well, clearly, that did not work. This is the story of HOW it didn't work and how wreaked havoc on all of their lives

I love this movie!

Better Than You Think

OK I was bored, I watch this movie and the writing is not great. But the cast is fabulous: Ben Gazarra, John Cassavettes, Harry Guardino, Susan Blakely (who got quite naked, thank you very much) AND... a 29 year old Sylvester Stallone.

Lots of shooting, double crossing, you can do worse.
