Succession (2018)
Intense, gripping, what a show.
I didn't think I would be interested in a show about a rich, terrible family controlling an empire in NYC. But since I had nothing else to watch I gave it a chance, and boy was that a good decision. The acting is incredible, it's extremely dark humor so that might not slide with some people, but it sure does with me. If you give it a chance you will be hooked, and you'll be filled with jaw dropping scenes and insanely intense moments, wow what a show.
Sex Education: Episode 8 (2021)
Near Perfect Season
This season had a perfect game heading into the ninth inning, but beamed the final out with an inside fastball, aka this was a near perfect season. The character arch's were fantastic, loved Ruby being a huge part in the beginning, but they kinda messed up leaving her completely out pretty much the last couple episodes. And then Otis and Maeve were finally a thing until she decided to LEAVE THE COUNTRY. Like come on writers, we've been dying for years to see them together and you tease us like that, shake my damn head. Overall my favorite season up until the last 15 minutes of the last episode, just beyond frustrating.
Midnight in Paris (2011)
I love this movie
I just watched this for the 5th time and finally decided to leave a review. Every part of this movie is mesmerizing, I honestly can't stop thinking about how good it is. It's maybe not for everyone but if you love movies it's impossible not to like this one.
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021)
Ehhh
I'll be lying if I said I didn't jump a few times, but maybe that's just because it was extremely loud during the pop ups. The movie was just okay, definitely not the best horror film I've seen but definitely not the worst. I thought the "villain" who was that one lady hanging in those underground tunnels could've been a lot scarier then just this woman with a normal toned voice and not that scary looking. It also almost put me to sleep multiple times because I just had no care for any of the characters. (Also could be a great how-to guide on how to get away with a crime by claiming you were possessed by a demon)
Mare of Easttown: Illusions (2021)
Wow
So that was insane. This show really went from being good to being great. Any questions I had were answered in this episode, I'm hoping the last 2 can come close to this one.
After Life: Episode #2.3 (2020)
Tears
I'm just here to say that the one scene with the old woman and her cat was probably the most sad thing I've ever watched
Better Call Saul: Bagman (2020)
First real sense of BB
Been waiting this whole series to get that same feeling I would get when watching BB, still a great series throughout but it finally reached that BB level, wow what an episode.
Midsommar (2019)
ORIGINAL, FANTASTIC
This movie is not like any movie I've ever seen, I can't put a genre on it, and that's what makes it that good, (you gotta be pretty stoned to sit through the whole thing though lol)
Marriage Story (2019)
Wow, just wow
Alright, I'm a little speechless on how amazing and powerful this film is. Won't get into detail because that would take too long but holy s***, what fantastic fu***** performances by these two, WOW
The End of the F***ing World: Episode #2.7 (2019)
Woah
Best episode of this season, damn near gave me a heart attack. Liking the change from season 1 to season 2 from both the characters.
Long Shot (2019)
Stop Listening to the Haters
Alright you negative people who just like rating movies at 1's and 2's so you can rant about your complaints and expect people to actually listen to what you have to say, this was a great movie, plain and simple, it was hilarious first of all, and it was just a great feel good movie, so everyone who is saying it's terrible clearly has some issues on taking movies seriously, "the plot are you kidding?" It's a comedy movie for Christ sake, why are you taking plots so seriously in a comedy, you shouldn't have watched it in the first place then u Nazis, anyway if you're skeptical, watch the movie, u won't regret it
The Open House (2018)
What in worlds name
So usually I check IMDb ratings before I decide to watch a movie, but seeing that it was a Netflix film I expected it to be bearable at the worst. However this movie is reconsidering my expectations. This movie is the single worst movie I've seen in years. Whether it be the horrible acting, the ridiculously dumb plot, or the ending that made absolutely 0 sense, this movie is a disaster from start to finish. To be honest I'm glad I watched this so I could bash it on this review, I beg anyone reading this not to watch this movie, please for the sake of your time do NOT WATCH THIS.
Southpaw (2015)
Amazing, more enjoyable than Rocky by far
I have no idea how one doesn't like this film. From the beginning it grabs your attention and you can't take your eyes off the screen. It's emotional and almost leaves you in tears because you can't help but feel for Billy Hope (Jake Gylenhall) but at the same time it's a kick-ass movie that everyone must go see. Jake Gylenhalls performance is astounding and I'll be upset if he does not get at least a nomination for best actor for this movie. The supporting cast of Forrest Whitaker is also very good along with Rachel Mcadams, great performances all around. What makes this better than Rocky in my eyes is that it's much more entertaining and the story is just way better than Rocky,
