No Country for Old Men (2007)
Javier Bardem saved this movie.
The rest was lame. If it wasn't lame it was extremely dull (Especially the scenes with Tommy Lee Jones. Shame, shame.) But like the summary says, Javier Bardem saved it from being a just plain horrible movie. He was absolutely amazing. One of the greatest villains I have seen in a long time. I loved his weapon of choice-it was different. And the one part that has stuck in my since I saw this film a few weeks ago is a shot of him sitting and staring, half his face completely in shadow the other half visible. He definitely gives you the "oh, I would hate to run across that guy" feeling and I love it. If you're the kind of person who roots for the villain periodically go see this film. And if you run out of popcorn you won't miss a thing if you go for refills when Bardem is not on the screen.
Spider-Man 3 (2007)
Well I loved it!
Wow! Just....WOW!! I loved it! I was so freaking awesome!! Everything about it!! The graphics in the opening credits-AH! The visual and sound effects-AH!!! VENOM!! THE SANDMAN!! AHHHHH!!!! EGO-Y PETER PARKER-IT WAS HILARIOUS!!! AHHH!!! Topher Grace did made SUCH a good Venom!!!! How the hell does M.J. not have serious vertigo? The costumes, the make up, the Sandman and Venom effects!!!! AHHHH!!!! Action, humor, drama, deeper meaning!!! AHHH!!! Even though Danny Elfman didn't do the score, I liked it anyways! It's the kind of movie you can get into-I was "geeking out" the whole way through! And now it's the part where I have to face the fact that it's the end. But I guess that's what boxed sets are for!!!
Disturbia (2007)
my thoughts on it...
I'm still not 100% sure what I think about it. At the moment I'd say it's a good popcorn movie (read: you don't need to pay attention). It has the whole happy beginning, turn of events, rather short climax, happy go lucky ending outline that you'd expect. The friend is my hero. Shia LaBeouf did an okay job. And poor David Morse-clearly type-casted. There were parts obviously drawn from 'Rear Window' and 'The 'Burbs'. (Overall plot from 'Rear Window' and the whole humorous no idea what they're doing snooping from 'The 'Burbs'.) There was actually a lot of it that made me laugh (even the parts that I think were supposed to be serious) Although in several scenes I think they were trying too hard. There were a few parts that I think were supposed to be twists that I saw coming so it's either too predictable or I've seen too many movies. Not sure which... Okay. Final decision time. I'd say might as well see it-it's decent entertainment. But you won't be missing out if you wait until it's on DVD.
Goosebumps: Escape from Horrorland (1996)
My review
I got this game from a friend a number of years ago and I still love it. I'd recommend it to anyone who has nothing to do on a dull day. Getting to dance with Jeff Goldbloom as Dracula is reason alone to get this game. The children interrupting you with pixely video clips can get a little obnoxious but the fact that it's so corny makes it very entertaining. It's an easy game once you get the hang of it and can be completed in basically one sitting. Having good observation skills will defiantly help you get a higher score. There are a lot of entertaining little puzzles and stuff that you will need to complete throughout the game. And there are other tasks that if you think about too hard you'll miss it completely.
