is not just the controversy... its the quality.
8 April 2017
the animated film looked like an original material, this live-action box office bait looks like Blade runner, not just the sets' imagery but some scenes (like running through glass, breaking it), the casting is too obviously bad (and i am not talking about the White casting controversy), the male casting looks ridiculous, this character looks like a white man wearing a wig, too obvious and ridiculous; like a fake cosplay and glasses. spielberg wanted to put his hands on the franchise so bad that he probably made one of the worst movies in history (from original material to Live-action material).

cinema's quintessential drama film
18 February 2017
The sublime camera-work, The editing, the Black and white cinematography, the acting, the script:, All of it resumes Japan's golden era, from Seven Samurai to Tokyo story (Tokyo monogatari) , mizoguchi's masterworks surpasses even those 2 movies and American drama films from the 50's. The film is the quintessential example of the movie term "Human condition". it just not tells the story from a political point of view but also from From both human sides of politics and The people; what a rich family suffer and what the poor suffer during hard times. The title "Sansho, the bailif" means everything: the main character's struggle even tho not seeing as such it is a human suffering. The ending is perhaps the epitome of all drama endings, the suffering of cinema and change of an era dies in that last scene.

Steve Jobs (2015)
1/10
What a waste of talent.
1 October 2015
Not about the fact that talented Apple CEO died but the fact of how Hollywood or Danny Boyle even decided to make another film about an historically NOT important individual, i mean, there is a JOBS movie already and i am sure there are really brilliant biographies about real people that Hollywood can use to trash them, and, they even named the movie STEVE JOBS!

it is an awful choice from an acclaimed director like Boyle, coming from the Academy award winning film Slumdog millionaire and end into this? Steve jobs is just another reboot/remake, that is what it is; A reboot. technically the film looks good, is not that Danny Boyle was not going to put his talents on it or his great writing and the fact that Fassbender was cast as Jobs is/was a wise choice.

The Walk (II) (2015)

The walk
1 October 2015
Robert Zemeckis is a filmmaker that can make a masterpiece out of a single subject as walking over a wire from point A to Point B, He is the mastermind behind such films like Forrest Gump, Back to the future, Cast away and flight, the last two films are IMO subjects filmed out of a simple difficult thing but extraordinary as being a castaway or an Airline pilot.

The walk is one of the best films of the year, i do not think Levitt will get any Oscar nomination or but the technicality of the film will sure do, Zemeckis is one of Cinema's prodigy sons and a master of camera-work and the film looks really amazing.
