Into the Storm (2014)
go tornado, go!
Seriously, after watching 10 minutes of this movie my dominant feeling was the hope that the tornado kills all the characters shown so far, and perhaps also break the fourth wall and do the same to producers and director.
It is an insult to all the people who lose their belongings and even their lives due to dramatic weather events that brainless thrillseekers look at those events as more opportunities for fun.
Swamp Thing (2019)
Dallas in the swamp
They transformed one of the most interesting DC characters into the subject of a pathetic soap opera. Those old enough to remember J R Ewing can easily understand what I mean.
And the costume wore by the 'Thing' is laughable. It is clear that he is wearing some sorts of swim shorts.
Kamera o tomeru na! (2017)
watch to the end, then rewatch it again
When I started watching it, I thought it was one of the cheapest, stupidest zombie movies that I had ever seen (and I saw really a lot!). I continued hoping it could get any better, and it does, BIG WAY. The end reveals this movie as one of the best homages ever made to the art of cinema and an hilarious celebration of human creativity.
Stevie's Aliens (2018)
How NOT to write a short film
I really hope that the part about being rejected by a creative writing course reflects a real life experience of Mr Harris, because this piece of garbage shows he deserves it. Basically, two young men 'summon' a UFO by tying themselves up (why not knocking the heels thrice? It would have made the same sense, that means none. And how did they tie alone?). The UFO arrives and they walk to it as if it were a Uber. All the rest of this 'story' has no connection: that he is a frustrated writer, the gf, etc. As a submission for a creative writing course, it deserves an F
Free the Nipple (2013)
Don't trust the trolls!
If you look carefully at the demographics of the people who rated this movie, you will see that it has received very negative reviews by men and older people. It is a shame. I am a man but I liked it and I admired the effort of the women who created this movie and the campaign that it wants to publicise. Does women's freedom to decide about their bodies seem trivial to you? If so, you have a serious problem, not them. I strongly recommend this movie to anyone who believe in campaigning for what they consider important. It is an uplifting story that reminds us how to believe in the possibility of winning against the odds.
