Moment of Contact (2022)
Felt Very Compelling
I really enjoyed this documentary. It felt very real and you really feel the witnesses emotions. I've always been fascinated with UFO's and Aliens and this just proves to me once again that it does exists. I've always envied those who have had some sort of encounter but after watching this, I don't think you're ever the same and not sure if I would want that hanging over my head.
I felt a high sense of sadness for these beings who were unfortunate to fall in the hands of humans.........
If you want a good UFO docu, then this is a must watch with a lot of credible witnesses who share their stories.
Old (2021)
Let down
Was expecting more from from M. N. Would not recommend.
I understand he was trying to convey how fast time flies and to appreciate every moment we have together, but this could've been executed a lot better and for me was lacking emotion.
The Woman in the Window (2021)
Just An Ok Watch
To put it simply, disappointed. Poor execution, little imagination, bad dialogue. Watch if you have nothing better to do.
The Pyramid (2014)
Not great
Couple of ok-ish scenes but that's about it. Bad acting and quite dumb throughout.
The New Daughter (2009)
Not great but not bad. Missing something
Won't go into too much detail. It was an OK one time watch. I wouldn't really call it a horror although it does have some chills. Aside from Kevin Costner and the little boy, acting wasn't that great either in my opinion. Ending wasn't too bad as it makes you wonder... I won't spoil it. Really liked the little boy, he has an instant likability. The 'things' that are revealed looked like something from outer space and I think this movie would fit Sci-Fi genre, however, they live in the Mound so that would not work.
If you have nothing to do, nothing to watch, then go ahead, you won't be disappointed. I think I may have had high expectations hence the slight disappointment. By no means, does this mean it's a bad movie.
The Borderlands (2013)
Creepy, Claustrophobic, Anxiety and heart palpitations
A low budget British gem that delivers. Don't let the found- footage sub-genre put you off as this isn't your typical-shaky-cam film.
I love the way the friendship develops between the two leads. Deacon, the cynic is having doubts about his faith and spends half the film finding solace in the bottom of a wine bottle. Grey, the cheeky-geezerish bloke who you take an instant like to, though not a believer per se, Grey can't entirely discount the possibility of a more cosmic force guiding our lives in unseen ways. Together they uncover a sinister truth more horrifying than either of them could have imagined.
The film has ambition that transcends its meager budgetary constraints. There are some terrifically unsettling set-pieces
It uses gore sparingly, focusing more on claustrophobic chills and general edit room trickery to build up a picture of a world on the verge of ripping itself apart.
The ending will probably stay with you for some time. I still feel uneasy just thinking about it.
Enjoy!
