9/11 (2017)
Seriously?
It is insulting that this movie was made. Charlie Sheen is a 9/11 'truther'.
Manhunt (2017)
Offensive in many ways
I enjoyed parts of this movie, but I was offended by the attempts to get the audience to sympathise with Kaczynski. Yes, he may have felt outcast or mistreated by some, but don't forget he killed innocent people and maimed others. You don't have the right to do that. If you want to be a hermit, fine, just don't bother the rest of us. It's called progress and makes our lives better, so forgive me if I don't want to live like my ancestors did.
Howard the Duck (1986)
I love this movie
I grew up with this movie. One of my most vivid memories is watching this movie on TV with my brother. This is another movie I do not understand having a low rating. The story is very funny and I can say, after watching it a few months ago, it still holds up. The acting is great. Howard is very funny and the voice acting will have you believing he is a real duck. This is part of my childhood and I will always love it. The story revolves around Howard, a duck from another planet populated by ducks instead of humans. After a long day at work, Howard arrives home to relax and is suddenly sucked out of his apartment by an unknown force and pulled down to our planet. Hilarity ensues as he tries to adapt to living on Earth while trying to find a way home. Give it a watch.
The Do-Over (2016)
Excellent movie
After quite a few disappointing Adam Sandler movies, I hope this is the start to Sandler getting his groove back. This film was wonderful. David Spade was hysterical and Adam Sandler was excellent as well. A lot of movies today fail to have a hook that will keep you interested, which means even if it winds up being a good film you have to struggle through the first part to enjoy it. Not so with this one. Within three minutes of the start of this picture, I was enjoying Spade and Sandler's chemistry and the funny story. I don't understand why this film is rated low, but this is a great movie and I hope we can expect more to come from Spade and Sandler. They work together as well, in my opinion, as Spade and Chris Farley.
