Queen Cleopatra (2023)
I liked it
I've seen a few Cleopatras, some on film, some in print, with them all having a different viewpoint of the Queen. But I gotta say I liked this one. This Cleopatra and the actress playing her are stunningly beautiful. I liked everything about this min-series. The locations felt legitimate, felt real, as if you were actually in Egypt. The experts and scholars that contributed to the project were excellent, you could really feel their enthusiasm. I believe it was well directed. I would like to see other work from this director. I think the costume design, makeup artistry, and hair styling are Oscar worthy. I really like this. I not sure what the vitriol is all about, but I guess haters gotta hate. And we know the World is full of them.
Scenes from a Marriage: The Vale of Tears (2021)
I love you hate...hate you games with each other
I knew when they agreed to separate that it was the beginning of tug of war mind games with each other. For sure separation is not easy, especially when there is a child involved, but they both are acting like selfish no one else matters but me a..holes. And his kicking to the curb a woman he was involved with the way he did it was ugly. Dragging innocent people into their bs, and then throwing those same people away like trash is all the way wrong.
In the Shadow of the Moon (2019)
Entertaining Sci-Fi
I rather enjoyed this movie. I watched it twice to catch what I missed the first time. It was good to see Bokeem Woodbine, hadn't seen him in a while. Boyd Holbrook and Rudi Dharmalingam are new actors to me, and I would like to see more of them. Cleopatra Coleman is stunningly beautiful, I really hope to see more of her in upcoming films.
