OMG, Could this movie have been more annoying??
12 February 2007
I usually enjoy reading other comments about movies before watching them, but always make my own mind up in the end. I'll also add that there are some movies I really enjoyed that were given poor ratings on here. So to all of those people who enjoyed this movie, I apologize in advance for my poor rating! :) This movie had such poor acting, poor writing, and bad effects. Instead of being on the edge of my seat in suspense, I found myself gritting my teeth and sighing through most of this movie. The actions of the characters and the choices they made were completely ridiculous! I gave it a 2 out of 10 because it gave me something to watch late at night besides reruns. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone, unless they chose to watch it purely out of boredom.

Why such bad comments???
10 April 2006
I went to see this movie after finding the previews funny on TV. I expected it to be mildly funny, but not hilarious. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a slapstick-type of comedy, but it wasn't the BEST comedy I've seen. Nor was it the WORST. I have read so many negative posts about this movie, and can't understand why. I find it hard to believe that some people were unable to find "one" funny part in this movie. I, personally, LOVE Jon Heder, and loved him in Napoleon Dynamite. His character was just as funny in this movie, and I liked all of the other supporting actors' roles. It was funny and entertaining overall. I don't feel that I wasted my money. Against my usual "rules", I took my 11 year old daughter to see this. After seeing the PG-13 rating, I was a little hesitant. But she's BIG into softball/baseball, and begged to see it. She LOVED it also, as did the rest of the theater audience. They were laughing equally as hard as we were.

The Doodlebops (2004–2007)
New?? OMG
7 April 2006
I have two children, one who watches the Doodlebops. I just saw a "new" episode, and was compelled to check out what's going on at IMDb!! Here's what I like and don't like..... I DON'T like DeeDee's new hair AND makeup, the new studio puppet (lol), and the replacement for "Mazz". As far as I'm concerned, there is no replacement. I LOVED Mazz!! It seems everyone did! Jazz is not NEARLY as peppy and happy and Mazz seemed. I DO like DeeDee's new dress. Although it may be a bit tight and short for a kids' show, I think it's easier for her to move around and dance. I like that they cut Moe's hair out of his eyes, that was quite annoying to watch. I saw the new bus scene, and it didn't bother me much, but I have to agree with someone else's post about the bright, headache-inducing colors. Geez! Were the producers on acid!? I didn't see the whole episode from the beginning, but from what I saw, it's still watchable. :) I'm not being a hater, just voicing my opinion on the new changes. I HATED those fake ears they used to wear!! And are both the guys in this show gay, or just one? Anyway, even with all the changes, I will still continue to watch it and enjoy it, as will my indifferent 3 year old son. I'm SURE he didn't notice the small differences we notice.

Good Tear-Jerker
24 November 2005
I was a bit distracted by some of the bad acting, but overall, I was happy I watched the entire movie. I loved the characters and "reality" of life and loneliness. Having a grandmother (now passed away) that was in a VERY SIMILAR situation to the woman in the hospital, it was very sad. I brought this movie to my mom's to watch, and she cried through the entire movie. She could relate to Susan Sarandon's character perfectly! I love exploring spirituality, so the areas in the movie that touched on that aspect were refreshing. Parts like that always bring a sense of hope about our own lives. Christmas movies are always so entertaining, as they portray a lot of what the holidays can REALLY be like in some families' homes. The chaos, the emotions, the old hidden resentments, etc. All in all, it was an enjoyable movie. LOVE Robin Williams, and Susan Sarandon. They both still look GREAT!!!

Delightful movie full of soul and true love.....
13 November 2005
I cried through the entire movie. It is full of true love, dreams, and miracles. I love romance and love stories. This movie encompassed all that is good in love and life. The story line was great, and I just wish everybody could be as devoted to their loved ones as the characters in this movie were. This is one of my favorite movies to date, and I hope more people can watch and learn from it. I know I did. :) I would watch this movie over and over, hoping to catch new things I didn't notice the first times around. I hope to see more love stories like this one, about devotion and true, unconditional love. I even had my husband watch it with me a second time, and he liked it as well. If you haven't seen it, rent it. Make sure you have tissue nearby!!!

Book awesome, movie the icing on the cake
13 November 2005
Although the book was much better in my opinion, the movie was wonderful also. I couldn't put the book down, it pulled on my heart strings, and was very similar to how I believe things to work in the world. (everyone affecting everyone, every experience affecting everyone around it) Hey, this is one of my first posts, so don't be too hard on me if you don't agree. :) LOVED the book. Anyone read Tuesdays With Morrie yet? The book definitely has much more detail, as most "book to movies" do. The movie just helped me put it all into an image, and a good one, at that. I thought Jon Voight was perfect as the main character. Some ideas were disappointing, because most of us imagine heaven as place of miracles and happiness. This book and movie just shows us another concept of life after death.

Very entertaining movie.....imaginative with computer graphics in my opinion..
13 November 2005
I just took my 10 year old daughter to see this movie. We both enjoyed it. I remember seeing Jumanji way back, and expected this to be equally dull. I actually dreaded choosing this as the movie we would go see. I am pleased to say, it is a lovely kids' movie, with a lot of action and some suspense. I LOVE fantasy movies and fairy tales, and this movie reminds me of just that. A modern fairy tale, with creative imagery for children, and a few good moral parts thrown in there. Some parts were confusing to my daughter, and I had to explain a few of the time-line events, but overall an entertaining movie. I'm glad we saw it, without allowing other opinions to cloud our judgment.
