Amazing film about a hugely talented guy
23 October 2015
Saw this film yesterday at the cinema. Really enjoyed it. Always been a Ed Sheeran fan but this film actually highlights just how talented driven and inspirational he is. They kept calling him the nicest guy in music, he must find that so annoying. But he is so grounded and dare I say normal? The music gave me chills. The scenes of the crowd crying smacked of a 1D gig except you know they are moved by the music not some boy band lust! The back scenes in Wembley very interesting. The actual concert although performed by one man with one guitar was amazing, so full and vibrant. I really enjoyed it and although it's going to be huge on DVD I feel the big screen gave it the platform to shine! Well done Ed .

Just not funny
2 August 2015
This weekend we went to see the Cop film Hot Pursuit. Now, I like films with female leads. Not enough of them in the movies! Reece Witherspoon partnered with Sofia Vergara. I like Reece and Legally Blonde was a classic and Sofia is great in Modern family... so this should be a great film... right? The premise is a promising one, "by the book cop" sent on a mission for the first time since an embarrassing incident (btw that incident should have been really funny,.. it wasn't) It just didn't gel, it never got off the ground. It had a tendency to slapstick, it put in sexual references when it wasn't needed The lesbian scenario was embarrassing. I did laugh a couple of times. My husband fell asleep. It just wasn't funny enough. The girls irritated me, they weren't human enough. They were both flawed and that flaw should have made them human and likable.. However it is worth a look if you're bored.
