Female Colombo?
27 January 2023
Yes I said it. I've noticed that there are some similarities in their demeanor and even her raspy voice but I am glad to say, Charlie carves her own path in this easy flowing yet still mystical series. I'm two episodes in and so far so good. I happen to like Colombo so the similarities are pleasing and the fact that trouble seems to always find her as she try to evade her own troubles is a nice addition to the old mystery theater ploy. Custom and character is believable enough and actually begs for sympathy at times. The acting is spread out with a mixture of veterans and newbies but it still flows quite honestly. Here's hoping for the best!

Better than expected!!

Food doesn't even feel the same today as it did years ago so why expect tv series to be like the originals. I was skeptical of this show because I thought it was more of a "me too" statement than a show but I gave it a chance and I'm glad I did. Each episode is sure to give some type of thought provoking scene and the action is somewhat believable due to her background. Though it is empowering for women, in my opinion, I do find it easy and not as political as one may think. It's easily binge worthy and that explains my high rating.

Not to be confused with today's climate

I'll admit. I too had the "not another race relations cop movie" mindset, but my gut feeling urged me to give it a shot. It took a few minutes in to realize that it had potential. Once I was drawn in I figured I'll see this one throughout and I'm not mad. It was, in my opinion, a good movie. Just enough action and just enough suspense. All in all I end up purchasing the Blu-ray and when company come over I take the credit for finding such a good movie featuring none other than the somewhat journeyman Tyrese.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

Due to COVID-19, I'm not sure if this ever was in theaters but if you must watch it please be home so that you can multi-task. The writing was generic and it lacked realism. It was a very easy plot along with predictable stunts.

Because there isn't a half star rating
15 June 2019
If there was a half star I would rate this movie. The half would be for see the credits. I held on for 8 seconds like I was on foo-man-chew but it finally floored me! This is what the kids say . Nobody: . . Shane Black: How about a untimely, insensitive, offensive Predator comedy that isn't funny. If you're going to watch this I suggest you do it on an adult game night where you'll be too distracted to watch.

Women in control without over emphasizing it

Sure, look at the cast and expect Oscar worthy performances but don't fall victim to high expectations. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect but I didn't regret watching this film. I felt it did have a little of everything. Corrupt politicians, crime boss, twists and turns and enough silent acting to please a librarian. I gave it 8 stars for the cast and the pleasure I got out of seeing it through. It does have it's wholes in the story and lost moments but hey...they can't all be Avatar!
