The Rookie (2018)
Are you not entertained?!
I know I am! I don't write many reviews, but I felt like I needed to counterbalance the negative reviews about season 3 of this delightful show.
I know this show has had 2 seasons of the excitement, drama, suspense and humor of a not too realistic cop show, but too much of the same meal can get boring after a while.
In my (humble) opinion I feel the writers did a good job of having taken on a currently much debated problem in our society and took their time to work it into the show, instead of squishing in one BLM episode for karma points.
I do admit that the first two episodes felt a little 'off' in terms of character dialogue, like the writers were trying to find their way after a break, but other than that I am very much enjoying everything this show has to offer!
The Rookie: Day of Death (2020)
Don't take shows too seriously and just enjoy
I'm so glad I stopped reading the reviews on IMDb before watching something
I enjoy this show, I enjoyed this episode and even though we all know the outcome, it had me on the edge of my seat at most times.
Not everything I watch has to be realistic (I mean, people don't regain consciousness immediately after resuscitation), I prefer good acting and dialogue and this show has both.
Supernatural: The One You've Been Waiting For (2016)
Yes, yes, we know...
...Nazi's are bad. When American (yes, those seem to be the only ones still doing this) shows tend to over-use the theme, it always feels to me like they've run out of material and go like "hey, we could just do another Nazi-episode!"
Won't be giving any spoilers, but when I rewatch Supernatural, I skip this episode.
Supernatural: Beyond the Mat (2016)
Not the best episode but...
It wasn't a very good episode, but the reason I'm giving it a 7 is this: it feels like this was the first episode where we can see both Sam and Dean having a real blast and enjoying themselves, without one or both being guilty/angry/anxious about something.
The story was entertaining enough and the way the wrestler handled his punishment at the end was badass.
The Crowley/Castifer (lol sorry) storyline felt a bit rushed, I'm sure it could've been handled better...
Wynonna Earp (2016)
Give it a chance
The first time I watched the pilot I really wasn't into it, because I didn't watch the second episode.
Now, a few months later, I tried again and am so glad I did! It still takes three or four episodes to get into it, but it's definitely worth the wait. The characters and storylines are getting more depth, and builds up to an excellent season 2, which had me wanting for more! Starting season 3 now, which I hope delivers just as much.
The Walking Dead: The First Day of the Rest of Your Life (2017)
Why all the hate?
I gave the episode 10 stars, just to balance out some of the (to me surprising) negative reviews. As one other reviewer noted, give the action-junkies a handkerchief to wipe their tears.
I loved everything about Sasha's scenes, I'm glad they let her go out the way she did. I mean, imagine having the bravery to take that bloody pill.
As for the fight (GREAT job on the music btw. Gave me goosebumps), Negan did not count on anyone else putting up resistance, which is my explanation why the other teams were able to get so close without anyone noticing.
Of course, there were some loopholes (like the tiger knowing which people to attack), but that did not take away the viewing pleasure for me!
Oh, and I was glad to see Rick having some of his old fighting spirit back when talking back to Negan.
