Entrelobos (2010)
The movie has a great story but...
...the director or filming crew lacks the skill to bring the message across on a way that the viewer does not know right from the start, where the movie is heading to. I guess it's a beginner who does not know to spin a tale that is not obvious or supported by amateur means. Sorry, that probably hurts. I hope it will instead lead to a more authentic way of filming.
The scenery is often badly done. Such as a tree with bits of bark attached to the trunk to enable the boy to climb up.
Or many scenes were it is obvious how this will proceed and end. Storytelling is the main part of being a director and this often comes along with introspection and life experience.
Lucifer (2016)
Used to love this..
...but the new series is nothing compared to the ones before.
Too much dancing, weak story and dialog, foreseeable outcomes and not a very romantic coming together that had been moving that way for so long. The excitement and brilliant story lines have disappeared in the current series on amazon prime. I have never rated the following: very bad make up.
Bombshell (2019)
There should be more movies like that...
...but there is one thing I don't understand.
Sexual harassment is a no go in any situation. It is right what those women did. Women are far from being free from that kind of behaviour towards them. It still happens every day.
Some of the women in the movie are unrecognisable because of plastic surgery. Hence they are caught in the same net. Getting pestered for being beautiful when they were young but keep wanting that attention when they get old. That way they reduce themselves to the one thing they despise men for. Their Looks. That's why I gave this brilliant movie only 5 stars.
Men have to learn that women are more than their looks and women it seems as well. That's the one fault of the movie. Or maybe not? I am sorry for hurting some women with this review but I felt it had to be said. We are much more than our looks.
Mortal Engines (2018)
Terrible..
... full of clichés and with no surprises. Same old story as told by many times before.
Even the characters look the same. Father who's is not the most likeable guy. Blind daughter, nerdy guy who likes the daughter. The naughty ones ate chased by the rest.
Schweinsteiger Memories: Von Anfang bis Legende (2020)
Not a football fan...
... even I was moved by his emotionality, honesty, teamspirit, loyalty and skill. Great guy and a masterpiece of a sports related documentary. Thanks.
AWOL (2016)
Depressing movie...
... paired with a boring story line that many other movies used before. Sorry but really bad to watch.
Below Her Mouth (2016)
Too stereotypical...
...for my liking. One klischee after another and little story.
New Blood (2016)
Same story pattern and terrible acting...
... which is the doing of the director. Not my cup of tea.
Andið eðlilega (2018)
Worst movie I have ever seen...
... I don't understand what the movie wants to tell the viewer. I know that some people really have a hard time. I don't understand what this movie is trying to conyey as a message. I just dont get it.
An (2015)
Close to the heart in a special way
Japanese movies are often different in the way the Story is told. This one is moving anderes makes you think about life.
Charged: The Eduardo Garcia Story (2017)
Moving....
... and encouraging to be brave and stick to the things that make us happy. No matter what of the circumstance.
The Shannara Chronicles (2016)
Bad actors...
... at least the two main actors. The story seemed like all good / evil stories and I liked the look of the series. But due to the actors I stopped watching after the 2 episode.
