Not my favourite Liam Neeson movie I imagine it's one that he enjoyed making given the location and topic.

No spoilers here, but only to say the movie got better as it went along even if a little predictable, but nonetheless, an authentic action, rather than CGI and endless fight scenes rubbish.

One word of warning, being a Yobbo Australian I found it very difficult to understand what they were saying with such thick accents. Oddly enough i put the subtitles on and it was out of sync by a few seconds and didn't help.

Worth a watch if you're a fan of Irish retro themes. Want to watch on a rainy afternoon as it will no doubt match the scenery.

I don't like to look up reviews before watching a movie but I'm sorry I didn't on this occasion. I can appreciate the acting and some of the cinematography, but as far as entertainment goes, this movie is not one.

Having now watched the movie and reading reviews, I find myself a little sympathetic to the lead character in the film.

I found the movie to be very dull and boring, I was expecting some twists and turns but it was a very straight road. I thought surely something is about to happen and make the movie worthwhile. Unfortunately it didn't. I couldn't wait for the credits to come quick enough.

Now for the review I've read some of the mixed reviews and I can see that some are finding it to be a relatable story of how women or people feel when they're being verbally abused. I then started to reflect and realise that my mother suffered that for many years, and could see the connection for many viewers.

Certainly not an enjoyable movie to watch and wouldn't recommend. Just be aware that it's very slow and really doesn't reach any heights.. But I guess it's not an action or a thriller it's a psychological drama by all reports.

Tread carefully is considering watching the movie because it'll be a couple of hours you won't get back and most won't enjoy.

I like a lot of different movies but this one just wasn't worth the time. Often when actors who become either a producer or writer they're exploring their artistic talents and some can and some cant. This was one where Jason probably should've made this movie a short or a book and not wasted the money on making a movie. Very flat all the way through a little bit of a climax but really there are plenty of other movies to watch instead. I usually don't like giving bad reviews.

This is one of those movies that starts out fairly ordinary and you hope that it gets better but never does. I will say the last 10 minutes took my rating from a one to a three but nonetheless not my cup of tea overall. There will be people that will enjoy this movie because of a few twists and turns but overall a slow burn that tries to be something it's not with plot twists and overall messy and one that should never have been made.

I'm not sure how anyone finds this movie entertaining, I usually like all types of comedies but I couldn't find much to laugh about in this one.

Just one of those movies that had a fairly long list of celebs seemingly just doing their thing. Very hard to watch. Should've walked out in the first 15 minutes like I was going to but because it was Gold class tickets I thought I'd make the most of it. Sorry I did.

After the first two episodes I thought, no I'm not gonna watch any more but I did. After reading a few reviews I thought maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel, but after six episodes and finding out that there was a second series I couldn't bear to watch the seventh episode of the first series.

Very slow, horrible characters and sure, if you got a lot of spare time on your hand, maybe you give it ago but certainly not worthy viewing.

This movie was definitely made for TV and not the big screen. A fair effort by the majority of the cast but to truly reflect what happened over 20 years to the poor girl it would need to be a miniseries.

Overall the movie felt very rushed, and at times made you cringe about the events that took place.

For those that don't know about the true story, I would highly recommend looking at some of the documentaries. Truly awful story and one you feel like you need a shower afterwards.

I wanted to like it but it's sadly I didn't. Started out with a lot of promise in the first 15 minutes and from there the plot was very sloppy and slow and drawn out.

It was no surprise to find out that the lead actor was the writer because it seemed a very self-indulgent character.

Whilst not giving away any spoilers the ending was an admirable finish, but still not enough to make it worth your while to watch.

Unless you're a fan of slow movies that keep you guessing that something is going to improve then this one is not for you.

Afraid the reviews are correct. The only problem is I didn't read them before watching the film. I don't think I've ever seen an example of a trailer and the end movie product being so far apart. I don't like normally watching trailers or reading too much of the reviews for fear of plot spoilers. I'm not going to give any spoilers here only to say that it was horrible. The plot was all over the place the acting even though it included three very credible actors was awful. I guess even good actors can't make a bad script work. Definitely don't waste your time and less you like those poorly acted shark movies or C rated shoot em up films..

I can see how this movie will have its critics either way. I'm a little bit on the fence because I'm not sure if I really enjoyed it or not. I didn't watch the trailer and I knew nothing of the film before the cinema and I guess I wasn't sure what to expect. It's sort of was weird watching as I wasn't sure if I was watching a Christmas movie or a B grade action. Maybe that was the intention but if you're a Mel Gibson fan then it's worthy watching. Hopefully the character he plays is not a parallel for his acting career. You're gonna love it or hate, it it's just one of those movies.

Seven is the number of times I've probably watched this over the years. I love the role played by Gerard Butler but wasn't sure about Hilary swank in the first half of the movie but she comes home strong and I think it was perfectly casted. Cute film and is in the running for one of the most watched rom coms in its decade.

If I suggested to my teen/young adults to watch this movie today they would laugh their heads off but it was a cult classic when I grew up. Awesome soundtrack and great story of how to survive on the streets in a multi ethnicity landscape. The story is of rival gangs in high school and how everybody wants to belong to something. Highly recommend this movie if you enjoyed films like the Warriors and streets of fire. I think I watched all three movies in the same year and they have remained in my top 20 movies of all time. Whilst not for everybody they always bring back great memories of my youth.

One of the best coming-of-age movies ever. I just loved it. Everything about this movie makes you smile. This is a nostalgic look at what it's like to grow up in the suburbs and make your own fun. Good clean healthy family viewing and certainly has been a family favourite of hours for many years. Babe who?

Everything about this movie is top class the story the cast the screenplay. This is in my top 10 movies of all time. Best watch without reading too many spoilers or trailers. Tom Hanks really stars with a reserved role which has become now trademark for so many of his films. I don't know anybody that watched this movie that didn't enjoy it.

This is a movie that will particularly appeal to Australians given its cast and setting location. The story is somewhat shallow but it's a fun movie. I think too many times people go to a movie and expect every movie to be a blockbuster. This is certainly not but it's a great date night flick for middle-aged couples glimpse ahead to what life may be like when your mind and body starts to fail. The movie generally is respectful of the ageing population but at the same time highlights the comical moments as well.

Two very good actors giving a great performance in this story that uncomfortable to watch in parts. Not overly graphic but intense moments that keep this movie on track. I really enjoyed Kevin Cosner's character and the very reserved role that Kevin played. The question is to ask what would you do in this couples position? I think I would've done what Kevin did. Definitely worth a watch, don't go expecting a fast paced action and you won't be disappointed.

Cannot believe the bad reviews this movie is getting. I think people went in expecting something and getting another. If you're looking for a date night movie or something to watch with the kids then this is not it.

I was in the mood for laughing and I sure did that. There is a serious message in this movie which is more revealing in the latter half but overall I think I was laughing at least every couple of minutes. For people that say they left after 10 or 15 minutes I say you left too soon. If you're in the mood for a laugh and you don't mind some wickedhumour then this is a really good place to start. Please don't let the poor reviews discourage you, and you be the judge.

Whether you are a Christian or not, you should watch this. Rather than spoil it for you with a full review, I would like to recommend you just JUST WATCH IT. Any viewer of this doco/story (whichever way you see it) should watch without reading the mixed reviews that have appeared here. Make up your own mind. Its one of those movies...
