The show was fast paced with focus on subject matter. Although dragged to few episodes but it was ok as the focus was on the fbi and the mob and the lawyers. Thank God we didn't have to hear what the lawyers did when they were young etc.. lots of archival footage, audios and pictures. Overall entertaining.

This is an interesting case spoiled by bad story telling. First half, 45mins of the documentary was basically the same thing repeating over and over again. They spend 45 mins trying make you feel sorry and somewhat emotional about Mr. Deluna. Then the other half where the real thing is supposed to start, it just skimmed over the top.
Definitely not for fans of crime documentaries. Not much details given other than the fact an innocent person was hanged and it's all because of racism.
Never mind the fact that Deluna lied many times and made it hard for anyone to believe his story in the beginning. But it does make a solid argument against the death penalty. The racist angle their spin kinda was like the cherry on top of this bad documentary.
An ok watch if your a casual viewer. Not recommended for crime fans.

This is the way it should be done. After watching countless crime documentaries where an hour or 2 is dedicated to the police detectives lives and their favorite pets, this one goes straight for the jugular. It focuses solely on the family and the aftermath of the tragedy. Thank you for making a gripping documentary.

This is one topic that is supposed to be intriguing. There is supernatural and crime.. obviously from the documentary itself John must have some healing powers. But that was not looked into further.. what happened was bad but so much attention was on the victims. Messy story telling it was all over the place. To many shots of scenery. Just felt like a very long and draggy documentary. Not recommend.

Just watched this on Netflix. Very interesting. I loved it. But the editing feels like its some asian tv crime show. Edits and scene changes while person is still talking. Could do away with the actors reenactment. Show more of the real footage and not have the scenes drag too long. Could be paced better and not so draggy.

It's like giving someone who can't cook all the best ingredients and the best modern Kitchen but the person doesn't know how to cook. The movie looks beautiful and the pacing is nice, acting also good, but the the ending is just horrible. Watched with family and friends but no one understood the movie and we all felt like we were taken for a ride. The pay off for waiting and following the movie till the end is not there. Could have been the best Malaysian movie but ended up making the audience angry.

Finally watched this popular Malaysian movie. If not for the synopsis I wouldn't know what this movie is really about. Very slow paced, many scenes that contribute nothing, many scenes that shows scenery when actors are talking and and the build up is very slow and the climax is bad. Ratings probably high because of the director being a very respected person. Movie was not entertaining at all.

This is a really good topic as it focuses on other Hitlers. Could have included a bit more on his sisters as well. The only criticism is at the end they did something distasteful by invading and exposing the identities of currently living descendants of the Hitler and to make things worse, one of them is named Adolf Hitler. By the end you feel a tad shame for watching the documentary as the kids are are also victims of the war many many years later .

The parts where Yamaguchi speaks is powerful and moving. But its disappointing that his experience in Nagasaki after the bombing was not mentioned. The CGI and all did little to enhance the story. Overall the documentary feels a little weak.

No BS like what was the defendants ambitions as a kid or what he thought abt politics or how he and his gf met or even useless back stories and interviews. So thank you again Netflix.

What could have been a good movie..Its a very loud movie with jump scares and violent camera shakes that only makes the viewer dizzy and annoyed afterwards.
Decent story line but really the scares is not on par yet with many other horror movies.. Entertaining tough.

The content is not really the problem although there is not much. At the end you feel like you didn't learn much. The thing I really don't like is the colours they used for this documentary. It's horrible. Feels like I'm watching some cheap conspiracy theory documentary. There is nothing visually pleasing. The guys that they interview has no info about them. Seems like some random guy. Overall just horrible. An interesting concept destroyed by some lousy movie making.
