Very bland film
19 July 2020
This is probably one of the most bland movies I have seen in a while. The acting, directing, cinematography and music is all fine, but it feels hollow and passionless. The pacing is some of the slowest I've witnessed, with action sequences slopped in the final cut randomly. Definitely not recommendable, though not terrible. Just bland.

Surprisingly great!
14 February 2020
"Knives Out" is one of the best movies of 2019. Actually it's in my top 3! Daniel Craig is Great as well as Ana de Armas. The score by Nathan Johnson was outstanding as well. Cinematography top notch. Really no complaints. The standout is the writing by Arian Johnson though. I recommend it highly!

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker - Movie Review
26 December 2019
NO SPOILERS

Overall I think "The Rise of Skywalker" is a bit of a mess. I really loved some scenes, but there was a fair share of bumps on the way to the conclusion, that I thought was handled pretty well. What a shame I have to say this "Star Wars" film is OK. The action is great and the cinematography by Dan Mindel was handled great. I´m a bit mixed on the direction by J. J. Abrams. I think he did a great job with "The Force Awakens", but he threw away to much fan service in this one. It also seems like the planning was a bit non-existent in this trilogy. Abrams set up things in the first, that Rian Johnson (director of "The Last Jedi") threw overboard. Now Abrams tries to throw all he has on the screen in a gigantic final chapter. And it worked, barely.

Klaus - Movie Review
26 December 2019
NO SPOILERS

"Klaus" is, in my opinion, one of the best Christmas films ever made. It is so wonderfully animated with characters you care about, a great score and voice performances all around, especially by Jason Schwartzman and J. K. Simmons. The story is great but at times a little cliched. I would say the film is a little predictable, but the execution is great. Also, I found the soundtrack choices a bit weird. It just felt off with a pop song in the middle of an emotional scene. But those are minor nit-picks. Overall a great Christmas film for all ages (over the age of 7).

Why all the hate?
19 December 2019
I really liked this movie! Yes it's plot is similar to "A New Hope", but the execution is different enough to make it feel fresh. I've seen it twice. In Theaters in 2015 and today. I wanna quickly mention, that the cinematography by Dan Mindel is extremely underrated! It should at least have gotten an Oscar nomination. The score by John Williams is great as always, though not many original cues. "Rey's Theme" and "March of the Resistance" are however exceptions. Overall a really great experience, great characters, dialogue and a flowing pace delivered by J. J. Abrams. A 4/5 stars from me.

Wow! Just wow!

"Avengers: Endgame" indescribable! It has some of the best visual effects I have ever seen in a motion picture! It is very respectful to it's characters and has a great story, but most of all, it ends the story perfectly! This is cinema gold! I cried and laughed and got all of the emotions! What more would you want from a film? Go see it!

Pretty boring
3 April 2019
I thought "Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie" was pretty dull. It had potential and cool ideas, but it was just not that entertaining. It has a great score, effects for its budget and James Rolfe's acting was good. I just cannot recommend it.

Really enjoyable film!
12 March 2019
"Captain Marvel" is not perfect in any way, but it's fun and entertaining. I think Beer Larson is great as Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers. Samuel L. Jackson is also great as always. The humour is spot on, and the score by Pinar Topeka is fantastic! I think this is a great movie in the MCU, no matters the controversy surrounding it!

Not great by any means, but fun!
20 February 2019
"War of the Worlds" is not as good as many of Spielberg's other films, but it's still worth a watch. The pacing is a bit sloppy and some of the writing is a little off. The acting is pretty good, the score by Williams is great as always, with some energetic string arrangements with trombones and tuba. I will give the film credit for the first act though. All around a fun blockbuster!

Pretty boring
17 February 2019
I'm sorry to say it, but in my opinion, "Halloween" is a pretty boring movie with some bad acting and pacing issues. The cinematography and directing is great, but it feels like the longest movie ever made. Maybe it's the editing, or just lack of tension. The score is one of the few bright things, and Donald Plecence's performance is also memorable. But overall it was just disappointing.

Really interesting zombie series!
14 February 2019
This first episode of "The Walking Dead" has one of the best TV openings ever. The acting was amazing, the slow moments. Everything, though a bit slow, probably intentional.

And where's the horror in this? I get the score-do part, but there are only few scary moments. Very misleading

Pretty funny horror flick

"Happy Death Day" is my fifth horror film, and I think this is my favourite, out of the ones I have watched. It has good humour, acting, directing, cinematography and music. Just a fun teen horror flick!

Betyder than the first
28 January 2019
"The Shamer's Daughter II: The Sepaint Gift" is finaly in Danish Theaters! After four years the second instalment is on the big screen. Not to be confused by the title, this film skips book two and jumps right into the third book. I think that this is a logic idea and is in no means a bad descicion. Actually it's really great. Mixed acting, but good directing and suspense. The biggest complain I have is the music. There is little original music and oh how I loved the soundtrack for the first, I have to admit I missed new themes. Kappe Kaas seemed to be focused on the "Main Title" theme and two others. The villain is also pretty bad. It's not the same actor and it shows. But overall a fun fantasy flick with impressive visuals.

A good start to a bizarre series.
1 December 2018
The pilot og the series is a bit slog, but Theis is typical for 25 minutes of screen time. The acting is mixed with cliché plot threads and story. But I'm exited for more...

A fun Christmas movie!
25 November 2018
"That Time of Year" is the Christmas Movie that you would want. All of the actors are great, the story is a bit old, but it's told in a fresh way. There are many cringeworthy moments, but in a good way. It's funny, touching at times but most of all: It has the Christmas spirit!

The Guilty (2018)

Probably one of the best movies of the genre
10 November 2018
"The Guilty" follows the same formula as every other police thriller. The difference is how well the film is executed. You will be wondering about why the film is going the way that it is. With unexpected plot twists, that are some of the best I can think of, the film is intense and exactly what it needs to be. One of the best directed Danish films.

Not a Queen fan, but this was a pretty fun experience!
9 November 2018
"Bohemian Rhapsody" is not a masterpiece. But it is very well made biography. Rami Malek is probably the best thing about the film. He is the machine of the film. Just like Freddie Mercury. Without him there would be no Queen. The film was directed by two directors. Bryan Singer and Dexter Fletcher. But it feels very even. Even with unreal historical events, the film is entertaining and gives a good look at the band itself. Also fun to see DS Nelson as Bryan May (From "Midsummer Murders").
