The Midnight Gospel (2020)
Learn how to tell time on a melting face.
This might be the most fun ever. Clever writing that offers glimpses of different philosophies on simulated planets. Learning some tough concepts while riding the wave of dreaminess makes this a new favorite . Maybe Sarah is PB, and Clancy goes to the land of Ooo to learn the Art of War.
Music Box: Juice WRLD: Into The Abyss (2021)
The WRLD has been taken over.
Great film that shows how a reluctant star with god-like intelligence and fresh rhymes copes with fame. There are many moments that are cringe-worthy knowing how this legendary story unfolds. I found myself nodding my head to the beats, and shaking it at the vultures who sucked his soul dry. Surrounded by a mass of adoring fans, and his crew, he still seemed distant and isolated; great camera work capturing these emotions.
The Day Today (1994)
Harbinger of Faux Murdoch
Somewhere someone is painting the state of 199s in painful color. The State of the states of the GB.
Brass Eye (1997)
Essential viewing.
Daily show would not be what it is without this gem. Chris Morris had a brilliant basketball career before transforming into Christopher Morris.
When the Wind Blows (1986)
Haunting movie with memorable soundtrack.
Watched this as a kid and it still enters my dreams. Creepy story about a couple fuddy duddies trying to deal with nuclear aftermath.
Cabins in the Wild with Dick Strawbridge (2017)
Dick Strawbridge makes the world better.
Talk about a natural! This program shows genius designs amidst beautiful backdrops, but really is worth watching for the host. He is genuinely interested in the participants and makes them feel worthy. I always enjoyed him in Junkyard Wars, and am thrilled he has his own show.
Division 19 (2017)
Running Man meets social media.
It's worth watching for Linus, lacks a certain I don't know quoi.
Hold the Sunset (2018)
Incredibly underrated
There are so many funny scenes in this show. I love the chemistry between everyone, it's awkward irreverence is unmatched.
Keeping Up Appearances: Sea Fever (1993)
Awesome Onslow, Humble Hyacinth
My favorite episode ever. It has everything a die hard wants, except meeting Sheridan. The dance scene at the end is classic.
Patriot (2015)
Crackin. Nothing like it out there.
This is texturally different than anything I've ever seen. Dorman is incredibly underrated. The subtleties alone are funnier than anything I've seen. Great music.
