Pesthauch der Menschlichkeit (2018)
Enigmatic
Quite a hodgepodge we have here, fellas.
I mean there is absolutely no context, no storyline and as far as I can tell, no purpose.
But, a surprisingly good cinematic style. I mean, really well captured shots and interesting camera work. What we capture is of course deeply unpleasant, often unpredictable and downright absurd.
I feel like mentioning that there is one particular scene involving a hand puppet that had me howling with laughter.
They did opt for brevity in keeping this film at around 80 minutes and I do feel that was a good choice. There's only so much of this content you can put upwith as you peak over your covered mouth and furrowed brow.
Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey (2023)
Better than Scream 6
Great premise for a film. There isn't the best acting, scripting, or effects. But it does get quickly into the thick of it and keeps the momentum up fairly well. There are definitely a few things I think they should have done differently, but the atmosphere and characters they built up in Pooh and Piglet were a win.
People expecting the glitz and glam of a high budget and a world class director may be put off. But if you're into a horror that you can take with a pinch of salt, it's pretty entertaining in all.
I'm glad that I didn't listen to all the negative reviews for the film and decided to give this a go.

After much deliberation, with careful consideration, painstaking cogitation, studious observation, and not without reservation.
I have decided to very that I will give this film a 3/10.
