Oscuro deseo (2020)
Rubbish
The lead is very attractive. That's it, that's the only good thing about this series. Confusing, too much sex (yes! There is such a thing!). I mean one scene ends with a couple having sex leading into another scene opening with another couple having sex. Chile.... Past episode 5 this show became background noise. Very disappointed as it really did have potential.
The I-Land (2019)
You cancelled The OA and then give us this....
This show is one of the worst shows I've watched in a long time lmfao. It's incredible that Netflix can buy garbage like this instead of putting the money towards shows like the OA.
Kanojo (2021)
Nonsensical Plotline
Unbelievable and nonsensical. Touches on some issues but wasn't put together well.
His Dark Materials (2019)
Rushed
I haven't even read the books and I just KNOW this was rushed. I was so confused throughout most of it. Watching the series has just made me want to read the books and abandon the next season.
Jonathan (2018)
Good premise, bad execution.
I was honestly very bored throughout this movie. The character(s) barely had any depth and were not very likeable so I felt nothing for either of them. The premise was very interesting but was badly executed in the movie. I didn't like that 3/4 of the movie was just this guy talking to himself via video.
Future World (2018)
Awful
Sorry James Franco. This was terrible. Acting, cinematography, writing..all of it. Who the hell came up with the content for this movie?!
Revenge (2017)
Worst movie I've ever seen.
You best believe this is my first review since being a member on here for a couple of years and if you didn't notice from the rating I gave it, I'm going to say this is one of the WORST movies I've watched in my entire life. The ONLY good thing about this movie is the cinematography. I am baffled as to why this movie has such a high rating. Maybe it hasn't been watched by many, maybe the people who watched it are part of the problem the industry has with the male gaze. Rape movies are SO overdone and I'm shocked this was directed by a woman.
After reading an interview of hers I can see what she tried to do but I will say that she failed. This does not 'flip the script' on the male gaze. All it does is introduce a female gaze and throughout the whole movie the female lead is STILL under the male gaze, STILL scantily clad and STILL sexualized. It's infuriates me. All it does is reminds me of the female characters in video games which are almost always scantily clad. As if a bralette and bikini bottoms can protect from bullets and slashes.
Fargeat, you fell prey to that which you were trying to subvert.
