Succession: America Decides (2023)
One of the best...
This is not only one of my favorite episodes of this show, but my favorite in television history.
To see the tables turn on so many ways in which we thought this season may end, in addition to the sheer tension of the plot of this episode, makes me feel such intense enjoyment. This is why I watch TV shows, this is why I love Succession. What an incredible script, coupled with phenomenal performances. In one episode there can be such great suspensful scenes, balanced out only so perfectly by such comedic scenes as that which involved "wasabi."
And to cap it all off, and only further prove the pure perfection of THIS show; a sort of fourth wall break from Roman, at the end: "we just made a night of good TV... nothing happens."
I am in utter awe.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)
An incredibly bad attempt at making a movie, which was simultaneously overshadowed by a lust for callbacks and forced fan-service.
This movie was a disappointment through and through. The only good parts of this movie were Paul Rudd and Finn Wolfhard, but both actors were underused. The plot itself seemed astoundingly underdeveloped/rushed, and the majority of the acting was abismal. Honestly the worst experience I've had at a theater since BVS.
