Horrible Zombie movie
1 July 2006
This has to be the lowest of the many lows that the Sci-Fi Channel has finally reached. What an horrible, awful movie. This movie is just plain awful. Rats become zombies and then disappear and are never seen again. The special effects are pathetic. Over and over again the zombies bite into the heads of victims and a tiny squirt of blood is occasionally shown.

The actors have thick Russian accents and claim to be agents for the U.S. Government. The moronic efforts at comic relief are insipid and horribly dumb. There is absolutely nothing good about this film. Return of The Living Dead Part III, was an excellent movie, too bad the Scum-Fi Channel did two horrible sequels. ROTLD 5 is a disgrace to all zombie movies.

Leprechaun 4: In Space (1996 Video)

Worst Leprechaun EVER!
18 March 2006
The original was a lot of fun and a fast-paced and good-hearted movie. This one is horrible. The Leprechaun's (Warwick Davis) acting here is atrocious. The rest of the cast is horrible. Most of this cast seems to be made of unknowns. Possibly they were part of some college acting class. There was not much chemistry between anybody. This was a direct-to-video entry, and everyone seems to have mailed it in. This is an exploitation film all the way.

The characters in L4 are just don't have any funny lines. There aren't any memorable scenes. There are a couple of T&A scenes that are lame. This movie is pretty bad.

Instant Star (2004–2008)
Aggressive Censorship of Opinions
16 October 2005
I am kind of amazed that every time I visit this board regarding Instant Star, that anyone who has criticized this TV show has had their opinion deleted. Apparently someone in IMDb bought stock on this show. I have watched it a couple of times, and I find it highly annoying. It is not very creative, it is full of stereotypes, and it does not provide any positive role models for teenagers.

Instant Star is more along the lines of a Teen Exploitation television show. Lots of relationship issues get explored, and that seems to be what the producers hope will sell the show to teens. Instant Star is as shallow as the shows interns who keep posting rave reviews. No doubt this review will be deleted soon too.

Moronic Stereotypes add up to Dumb Movie
16 October 2005
The Breakfast Club has to be one of the dumbest and most boring movies ever made. Who can buy Jughead Nelson as a bully? He looks like a girl. Alley Seedy, Molly Ringworm, Anthony Michael (wasn't he in Van Halen), and Emilio Sheen Estevez (Thanks to his Dad, Martin Sheen, for this role). What a cast of boring rich kids.

Ally Sheedy, she was what? An alcoholic? Judd Nelson was a victim of his Dad? Talk about unimaginative stereotypes. The Breakfast Club was one big stereotype, down to the dork who played the Principal. These characters are two-dimensional and dated. Would five people who hated each other spend all day whining to each other? What kind of school ever had Detention for more than one hour? Reform School? Of course, by the end of the movie, the corny canned "Let's Be Friends" ending is trotted out for the five millionth time. Hollywood thinks movie audiences are made up of morons, and the fact that so many people think that The Breakfast Club is a classic just goes to show that Hollywood is right about the dumb masses. Breakfast Club is the ultimate Low-Budget teen rip-off movie. Give them fake angst, whining, and blame the parents; and teens lacking self-esteem will run to the theaters to pay.

Night Stalker (2005–2006)
The New Night Stalker may cause Brain Damage
16 October 2005
This new Night Stalker totally sucks from every angle that you can possibly consider.

I don't like any of the actors. This Scooby Doo Gang has no chemistry, and having a bunch of people investigating and interviewing everyone kills any suspense or scares. None of them has any wit, they lack charm, and they are just lifeless pretty models. They look brain-dead.

Even in the X-Files, Scully and Muldur used to split up to do different parts of an investigation. In this new Night Stalker, the three clowns seem to be umbilically connected and can never do anything alone. They even interview people together. Having three people constantly chatting away destroys any possible suspense. There aren't any scary moments in this series.

This Night Stalker is so predictable that it makes "Murder She Wrote" and "Matlock" seem great by comparison. Even worse than being predictable is the fact that it is very boring. No spunk, no energy, no bright ideas, no wit. None of the actors is ever seen reacting to a situation.

The original series was full of (Darren McGavin) Kolchack reacting to the unexpected. Sometimes it was for comic-relief, and other times it was a real threat. But Kolchak was always improvising and getting out of trouble. This new Kolchak (Stuart Townsend) is dull and witless. You can imagine that he has a GPS in his car and one of those systems so he can call the GPS company and ask them how to get to Wal-Mart.

Townsend is a dreadfully dull actor. The only thing worse is the moronic grinning of Gabrielle Union, one of Townsend's sidekicks (he had three in the last episode I watched, #3). Another guy plays the role of Jimmy Olsen, doofus photographer (with a haircut from Special Ed class). Then there is the new guy, a college reporter (I guess they want to rip-off Smallville too?).

The stories are all clearly rip-offs of either the X-Files, Angel, Buffy, or any combination of those shows (maybe even Smallville?). It would not surprise me if the writers had dusted off some old scripts and just changed the names to fit this new series.

I have seen all three shows so far, and frankly it was hard to sit through them. They were the most boring tripe that I have seen on television in several years. Even the remake of Kojak was a lot better than this. The original Buck Rogers and the 25th Century was better than this. Even Mr. Ed, Lassie, Flipper, and Gentle Ben (the show with the bears) was better than this. The new Night Stalker is painful to watch. It probably causes brain damage.
