The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window (2022)
Felt like a complete waste of my time.
I didn't realise this was meant to be a comedy until it the last episode where it made it brutally obvious that the entire script was a joke.
But unfortunately, not a funny one.
This feels like lazy writing that was made ending first and then worked back from.
If it was for Kristen Bell's screen presence, I wouldn't have watched past the first episode and I would have been happier for it.
Space Force: The Launch (2020)
Why does this exist?
Watching this first episode made me wonder that question for the entire runtime. It feels like both an attempt to take out of the "boots on the moon" ignorance of a wildly childish president while at the same time perhaps suggesting that it takes a little bit of crazy, brute-headedness leadership to be able to pull of amazing things.
There didn't seem to be many jokes in the episode, mainly relying on awkwardness and personality quirks to come across as funny, which just didn't work for myself or my viewing partner.
I'm not a huge Steve Carell fan, but this character feels so similar to his character from The Office while not feeling different enough in any meaningful ways, which wouldn't be an issue for me if I was enjoying myself.
Overall the episode was not entertaining or funny enough to get a second chance with another episode for me.
