So much of this film is illogical it's difficult to know where to begin. Kate Beckensale is miscast. An actor such as Sandra Bullock, who is capable of projecting more gravitas is required. Thre are too many plot holes. Wouldn't gun weilding Soviet
airmen know what would happen if they held a firefight inside a trasport plane while flying over the Antarctic? When the marshal is being chased by the pick-ax killer (an being chased and chased and chased) why doesn't she pull her revolver and shoot him? The Marshall loses two fingers to severe frostbite but the characters faces are never frozen while running around in -51degree weather even though their faces are uncovered. Shall I go on? No! OK one more, there are enough red herrings to can and sell. Probably could have been a good thriller with a differen protagonist and director and a more logically developed script.

The Story of O
(1975)
Oh, Is This A Story?
31 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
A bad film! Incomprehensible continuity, a film score that consists of forte and double forte and the most unerotic actors in a supposed erotic film I think I have ever seen. The women are automatons and the men emasculated. Women are raped but the men don't open or remove their pants. There isn't a penis in sight yet the women are screaming and thrashing about as if they're bring penitrated by a giant, studded dildo. The women are mercilessly whipped but there is no blood, no torn flesh an no recuperative time. This is not fantasy nor erotic nor erotic fantasy. The plot meanders and goes nowhere. Based upon what the audience is shown about choices the protagonist makes and the life she leads, the film might better be titled, THE STORY OF HO!
Virtual Girl
(1998 Video)
It's Not Nice to Fool Your AI Girlfrirnd
17 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
You will have to suspend a lot of disbelief in order to make VIRTUAL GIRL work as a sci-fi film. The sex/love sequences are mostly basic T&A. Where is the logic in a scene where a huge explosion takes place in a high rise building, in the business district, and absolutely no one responds? The actors work very hard to make the plot believable but often the dialog works against them. Unfortunately, too often the characters are placed in situations that are not believable. I would rate the overall cinematography and CGI A C+. Bring plenty of popcorn and enjoy the film for what it is, a brief diversion.
