The X-Files: Duane Barry (1994)
Season 2, Episode 5
9/10
An episode to remember
20 April 2021
The episode as a whole is very good, but the final ten minutes make it memorable. No wonder: it was written and directed by Chris Carter. In the X-File universe, it is a highlight on the theme of abduction and extraterrestrial beings. The good use of the "plot twist" feature makes the plot more interesting (you can't say anything else, otherwise it spoils the episode). It is very worth watching, but it is much better if you are watching the series in the sequel. One of the best episodes of the season.

Good movie. Could have been better.

Inspired by the life of Saint Philip Neri, the film is not biographical, and ends up mixing many facts from the life of the main character, in addition to inventing many others.

Just one example: when he went to Rome, Felipe Neri was in his twenties, and he was not a priest yet; the film gives another idea.

It is a nice film, it presents a positive image of the saint who became known for his joy and good humor, but for those who want to know his life effectively, it is better to read a biography.
