The Truth About Spring (1965)
Coming of Age
I loved this movie when I saw it as a teenager. I wish they would come out with it on DVD. Haley Mills had the "movie life" I wanted to live and loved every movie she was in. Her father John Mills was a special man and actor who always added to all of his roles, especially his characters. Too bad there aren't more movies like these for all of us to dream about. After all, movies should be entertainment and an escape from the boring, bad parts in life. This was a great movie and the idea of living on a boat going everywhere is such an adventure!!! James MacArthur was at his best too. I miss all these actors and movies like these.

Why Do They Stop Running the Good Shows!!!
I loved this show!!! But it just disappeared???!!! Were the ratings that bad???? With all the ---- they have on now, there is nothing to look forward to. Bring it Back!!! The characters were believable and the cast they assembled was great. I just don't understand!!! Especially since they didn't even air all the episodes. Is there no way to get in touch with Warner Bros. Television make a point with them?? I feel like I need to just keep my television turned off these days. I guess the target age is below me and I am just crazy to think the networks care if we don't fit into that. I want to see more of Benjamin Bratt on television. I hope something else is planned.
The Majestic (2001)
A Wonderful Movie!!!
I wish the studios and the public would let Jim Carrey do more of these movies!!! He was excellent in it and I suppose some of it has to do with the movie content being so special!!! I was born after WWII and lived during the Viet Nam war and I had always wished things were the same when Viet Nam Vets came home, so I guess part of me just feels good when I see it. I have seen it many times and it still makes me cry and feel so many emotions!! It is well done and if nothing else the scenery is beautiful too!!! We think we are in scary times now, but I can't imagine being an adult during the McCarthy Era. So scary for everyone and fearful of everyone else during that time.

Missing John Wayne and Western Movies
This isn't a John Wayne movie, but it has the elements of something similar. I miss the western movies, so I was hoping for more. But Kevin Costner has always made a good cowboy, so I enjoyed it. I guess I need to quit hoping for more. Anyway, Annette Benning was also good in this and the scenery was spectacular!!! Unfortunately, it also seems like one of his baseball movies, but if you like him talking about long, passionate kisses and the sweet spot, this will fulfill your fantasies. I hope Kevin Costner will be working for many more years to come. I imagine the movies coming along won't showcase him as well as they should, but it is all good!!!
