The Lost Corvette (2019)
Disappointed and annoyed...
I thought this was going to be a story about building the concept that was envisioned for the 1983, 30th anniversary Corvette.
But unfortunately, even though they showed a concept drawing of the 1983 Corvette at the start of the episode, the final product looked nothing like the concept.
Instead, this was a story about a guy with money who likes corvettes, instructing a team of mechanics to add small retro elements that he liked from previous Corvette models.
Final result - A 1984 model Corvette that's uglier than it was originally.
Why? Firstly they reduce vision out of what was a revolutionary back window, by simply adding fibreglass to create a split window effect that looked cheap and tacked on.
Secondly, they decided to use vintage gauges which is another choice that completely goes against the modernising goals of the original 1983 designers.
And lastly, they improve performance by adding modern parts to the engine that didn't exist in 1983...
This car is an abomination.

The Trust (2016)
Awful ending.
This film was alright, until the end. I don't really like Elijah Wood, and this character just adds to that. This film's ending was awful. Yes, let's believe that after being an accessory to murder and breaking into a mafia/gang vault, and also revealing yourself to a fellow cop, you'll kill your partner/cop and escape to where? What? Who thought this ending made ANY sense..?
Homo sapiens (2016)
This is not actually a film, or documentary - just an awful waste of time.
SPOILERS!!!
This shouldn't be on IMBD. it's not a film, it's a collection of images - that's it!
No narration, no explanation, no music, no text, just images.
If you're the type of art snob that has their head up their own.... - then you'll love this.
But if you have half a brain, watch something else.
This would also suit a musician or artist that's looking to project images onto a wall.
Gringo: The Dangerous Life of John McAfee (2016)
Not worth watching.
Previous to watching this documentary, I knew very little about the man who's name had consistently popped up on my computer's desktop, and watched from a perspective of intrigue. Unfortunately, it became very clear early on that rather than being an unbiased peace of investigative journalism, this documentary would be the opposite and presented more like a biased hack-job, or smear campaign against John McAfee. Although it is all made very well, there is not a single moment throughout where I felt like I was hearing the full truth, and as such, decided to investigate the matter for myself after I'd finished watching. What I found was shocking... Although I found interviews with Nanette Burnstein (the documentaries maker), claiming that she'd not paid anyone for interviews, (merely 'photos'), whilst continuing to attack John McAfee. I also found articles from many Belizian news outlets stating that interviewees were paid to lie. These news outlets interviewed the same people, and also had proof of the money transfers sent by Nanette Burnstein. Overall, it seems like Showtime have a lot to answer for. I am very disappointed that I spent an hour and a half watching such fiction.
Ghostbusters (2016)
I hoped it would be good...
As a fan of the original films, I hoped the remake would be as good, or at least enjoyable. Unfortunately, it wasn't... In fact, I was SO disappointed, I signed up to IMDb just to leave a review of how bad this film is! (Don't worry - there are no spoilers). There was nothing original, the humour is non existent, the graphics are awful (REALLY awful), the plot is thin (at best), none of the characters are memorable, the colors are too bright and childish, and I could go on!! How could they mess up a remake so badly? Why remake it at all? There were SO many directions the story could have gone in, but to the detriment of the film, didn't. If like me you enjoyed the original films, then watch them again and avoid this at all costs to save yourself the anguish. I hope the director can one day admit to his mistakes and refer to this film appropriately... It's not a film, it's garbage.
