Halo 5: Guardians (2015)
Really, really disappointing
The original three halo games were fantastic and really well designed. The story was simple and to the point but executed superbly, the soundtrack was one of the best game soundtracks made. Characters were well developed and memorable (even if sometimes slightly goofy) Every level had a different kind of challenge with different unique music that went alongside it, the games were always interesting.
Halo 4 was very different to the original three. This game started out pretty great but then fell kinda flat half way, but made it up for it with a great ending.
Halo 5, however is a totally different story, it's suffers greatly from a confusing plot that's over explained in a very emotionless and Unenthused kind of way. The soundtrack is generic and forgettable and doesn't really add tension or feel to the game.
Characters are boring and emotionless. You only play as Master Chief for THREE missions! The new antagonist who's name I forgot, feels very out of place in a halo game.
They ruin Halo 4s ending by bringing back Cortana with a very stupid and nonsensical reason for her survival, and if that wasn't bad enough they ruin her character by making her all of a sudden become evil.
The campaign missions are flat out boring and repetitive. And last but not least, the multiplayer feels way too much like Call of Duty for a Halo game and to make matters worse, Req points and Weapon packs are now a thing...
Why 343, Why?!

Rogue One (2016)
A genuinely great Star Wars film
Rogue One is a more gritty take on Star Wars, from the start you just know that the rebels are going to die taking on the Empire and going after the Death Star plans. The cast worked well for the film. Each character has a different motive for joining the rebellion.
This movie does a great job of tying in both trilogies, seeing Bail Organa aged and briefly seeing burned Anakin in his healing chamber. They did a fantastic job of recreating Peter Cushing in CGI, he looked so life like.
Seeing Darth Vader at the end when he mercilessly slaughters the rebel troopers and dismembers them, was awesome! You finally saw how dark Vader actually is and it was a more realistic scene as rather than the rebels trying to shoot him in a pathetic attempt to kill him, they instead flee for their lives like their in a cage with a wild animal, whilst passing the plans down to each other.
And finally it fixed the big plot whole of the original film, the Death Star's weak spot. Now instead of a stupid mistake we find out that it was deliberately put their by the constructor, so it would be an easy target for the rebels. This makes sense as he was used against his own will by Empire to help in it's creation.
Fantastic film.
