I'm done after three episodes
25 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
First of all...Kates character is just too unlike able to even to be interested in following. She clearly has mental issues and why she is in control of a country is beyond me. She should be locked up in a mental institution. I would say the only thing this has going for it is that it's a limited series and thank god there won't be a season two. Kates character is just mean and narcissistic and treats everyone like crap and is just a complete turn off. The writing is nothing to write home about either, and some people will say 'it's just British ", as if some of us have never seen an actual good British tv show before. I've watch plenty of bbc shows that had me looking forwards to the next episode and this is not one of them.

Another movie that put the cart before the horse....
6 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Ok....so what I mean...is that end the end...this movie seemed like it was a setup for Madame Web 2......we see all the main characters dressed up in their super hero costumes.....which all turn out to be "visions" and none of them turn out to be fully realized in the movie....just what they apparently while come to be in "Madame Web 2".....which I seriously doubt will ever happen. Too many movies are counting on there being a sequel and not focused enough on the first one being something that will make you actually want to see a sequel....we get these movies that end with "cliff hangers" that feel more like an unfinished movie. There's nothing wrong with cliff hangers as long as it still feel like a movie with an ending. This movies just screams ' our Heroes will actually become heroes in the next movie "....the problem is that the first one wasn't good enough to warrant a sequel.

Probably my least favorite cod
20 January 2024
First of all....the campaign.....too short and just not memorable....others cod titles were interesting enough that I could replay the campaigns...this one....nah. Second...multiplayer modes....player vs player mode like team death match are pretty much what you'd expect....mostly players camping and sniping but it is what it is and leaves you feeling like camp or be camped....and tbh...I end up disabling cross platform in multiplayer to avoid the players on pc platform who use cheats....but what I don't care for the most is zombie mode....its a good idea that was extremely poorly implemented. Why only 3 players on a squad? Seems like a lazy port from DMZ. Also....the matches are just too short....by the time you get enough money to really play in the red zone....its time to exfill....sure you can get schematics to upgrade and pack a punch guns...but you need to craft them and the ones you really need have a three day cool down before you can craft another one....thats right...three days lol. And the worst part is that is you don't exfill...you lose items like a large backpack and level three armor and other things....which isn't the bad part....the bad part is if you get disconnected from the game by no part of your own....you lose your stuff....which for me...after it happens enough times...completely turns me off from play MWZ.... Id much rather play Cold War Zombies....overall, MW3 is meh for me.

14 different writers...I get why it's so bad now
7 September 2023
Ok...I really did give it a fair chance , I've struggled thru almost all the seasons and I'm on 8 of season 5, and at this point as a series overall I think it really suffered from having so many writers...14 in all...and maybe if they all worked on every season by apparently they had different writers on some seasons than others and it shows...and not in a good way.....at all. There's just no cohesion as a series overall..if you enjoyed the first couple of seasons...by the least few you'll feel like soooooo much was unresolved and like whoever wrote the last three seasons just abandoned characters and story lines and it just became a completely different shows, with many episodes just feeling like filler episodes that didn't really move the story forward whatsoever and didn't need to be told at all...we don't need entire episodes devoted to telling character story lines and their history that didn't really matter tbh. I don't how this lasted 5 years ...by the end it felt like the writers really didn't have any personal attachment to the show besides a paycheck.

Don't waste your time!!!!!
12 May 2023
Don't waste your time, not that it was a bad show but it was canceled after season two and completely leaves you hanging. Season one started off really good and lost steam as it went on. Season was the opposite, started off pretty slow and picked up steam as it went on. The basis is two androids are tasked with raising human children on a new planet, or rather another planet other than earth. Imo the children just make bad decisions after bad decisions and get extremely annoying in a lot of cases. Though I struggled to keep interested thru two season it just kept it enough to watch both and wanted to see what happened after season two, and then it got cancelled. So in the end I would say don't waste your time unless you just want to be left hanging on a cliff.

Fired on Mars (2023– )

Predictable
4 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Once you've watched the first episode it's pretty much predictable....nothing works out in Jeff's favor, that's pretty much the whole show. I really don't know who thought it would be enjoyable to see someone get fired and treated like crap and never have anything work out for them, it's just not funny at all and it gets really old really fast. I struggled to make it thru 4 episodes but I really don't feel like I need to see any more, it's just going to be episode after episode of Jeff failing at everything and things not going his way and aside from that....absolutely nothing else interesting going on at all...just non funny predictable writing.

Five episodes in and I'm kinda bored with it
27 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It started off kinda promising, Batman's adopted son, the Jokers daughter, Robin, seems like enough to work with.... Batman gets killed and his adopted son gets framed, not a bad premise, now his son has to prove his innocence, the problem is, it's just not interesting enough to spend an entire season on him proving his innocence, and know WB, he'll probably spend the next few seasons proving he didn't kill Bruce Wayne, and I'm definitely not interested in watching the plot drag on and on. I'm on episode five and trying not to fall asleep, and on top of it, it's becoming predictable, especially Robins character. Maybe if they wrapped up proving Bruce Wayne's son didn't kill him and moved on I'd be interested in watching, but 10 or 20 episodes is just too much time to drag out the plot, and his son really isn't that interesting either.

Style over substance
5 April 2023
Definitely had potential, the plot itself wasn't bad at all though some of the acting left something to be desired, Anthony Hopkins and Jeffery Dean Morgan were great, Collin Farrell was a little over the top but Abbey Cornish was a little out of her league. But speaking of over the top, the film editor, Lucas. Gonzaga was just way over the top. It was just unnecessary and it was like he was trying to literally star in the movie with his editing that it distracted from what could have been a great movie. It really didn't need all the stylish over the top effects and flashy editing. I don't know who made the editing decisions but they tried to carry the movie too much with it , which is why this movie really didn't rise to the occasion. The talent was there for the most part, the plot was there, but I guess Lucas Gonzaga didn't get the memo that sometimes less is more. Maybe he should be editing music videos, I think he might be great at that but as far as movies go, don't let your editing get in the way of the story, let the actors carry the movie.

Grow up South Park...literally
30 March 2023
I've been watching SP for a long time and always thought it was great and funny....but the problem is after 26 seasons it feel like it's just stuck in time..literally. I love Stan, Kyle Eric and Kenny as well as many other characters, but 26 years as kids and not much has really evolved or changed. Wouldn't it be awesome if they took a chance and let the characters actually age into teenagers. Sure they've been great as kids but we literally have 26 seasons of them as kids and tbh...it's not as funny as it used to be. Now it's season 26 and the season finale is here after just 6 episodes. Either they can't keep up with the workload they used to be able to or the network is realizing it's not bringing anything really new to the table, sure it's great satire but it's become pretty predictable. Imo if there's going to be a season 27 maybe it's time to let the characters grow up a little and at least make them into teenagers.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor (2014 Video Game)

Meh
26 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, I'm a lotr fan, read a few of the books and of course saw all the Peter Jackson films and others. I played the lotr game on the Ps2 way back and had a lot of fun playing it, but I'm finding Shadow of Mordor kinda meh....for me, it was kinda fun fighting orcs and what not...but it got kinda old and repetitive pretty fast, and going after his army was kinda a waste of time for the most part, you have to hunt them down and kill them, but at the same time a ton of orcs appear out of nowhere and you have to fight them at the same time and most of the time before you can finish off the captain or whomever, it cuts and runs away and escapes or you get killed by the other orcs as you fight him and they get stronger and it's like why bother? Maybe had I'd tried playing it when it came out I might have given it a higher rating, but I'm just not finding myself really caring about the main character, the story is kinda meh, especially by todays standards or even older games like the last of us, which really make you feel like the game characters are real. Shadow of Mordor just doesn't have me invested in the main character and tbh, I probably won't finish the game because I just don't find it that interesting.

Could not watch past season 1 episode 4....sorry
25 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I just could not watch past season 1 episode 4, I feel like the writers were insulting my intelligence and just asking too much for me to continue watching anymore. You mean to tell me, a woman...holding a gun...is going to allow herself to be stabbed to death by 4 kids....and not fire a single shot to defend herself or save her own life...because they are kids? Not even a warning shot? Not even a shot to the leg? Just stand there getting stabbed to death? Really? I'm supposed to believe that? That's just totally ludicrous lol. I can't take the writing seriously at all, I literally stopped watching at that point....sorry...but no thanks....that was just stupid and I feel like the writers must think we're stupid to swallow such a poorly written piece of crap.

Pretty good but so dark & bleak
12 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This show wasn't a bad show, the production quality was top notch and the acting was pretty decent as fas as tv series go, but imo it was dark and devoid of any joy and somewhat depressing to watch at times. It just showed the worst of humanity and was somewhat spot on with police brutality and corruption and it was like the writers decided to make it almost over the top dark with barely any rays of sunshine. I don't know if I could stomach any other season to be honest, if it's going to be all suffering and despair. It's pretty much like evil wins. Yes there are a couple of moments where the bad people get theirs but for the most part it's all darkness, doom and gloom and leaves me feeling like I need to watch something else to lighten the mood after watching this.

Actually I'd give it a 7 1/2.
21 February 2023
Ok, I know everyone has their own opinion, but if you take yourself too seriously, you're not going to enjoy it. If you liked the other Antman movies you might like this. Visually it's amazing, lots of eye candy. If you've read Marvel comics growing up you'll appreciate it more so than people who've never picked up a comic, I'd don't want to spoil anything so I'll leave it at that. I enjoyed it for what it was and it definitely had a couple of cool surprises. If you're looking for a serious Oscar nomination worthy movie, go watch something else, this movie was fun and imo did it's job as an Antman movie. It had humor, action and cool cgi. Would I give it a 10? No, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it.

Confused at this point
19 January 2023
Not a bad show, not great but not bad, has potential, I've finished season 1 and I'm on episode 5 of season 2 and I'm just confused at this point. It just feels like I'm watching a completely different show with the same actors. Not only does season 2 not feel like the same show but it doesn't feel like it's even connected to the title of the show. What the heck happened? I kinda liked the premise of season 1, though I thought it could have been better and thought season 2 would maybe be better, but in no shape or form does it feel like I'm watching season two of the same show....at all. I'm just confused.

Doom Patrol (2019–2023)

How is this not cancelled yet?
30 December 2022
Somebody must have some blackmail material on somebody, This has potential but it never rises up to it, it's just a complete mess, and while it's ALL over the place it still feels redundant and repetitive. While it's one of those shows that apparently wants to be a comedy and not to be taken seriously, it would be cool if it was a bit more serious and had more depth to it. I've seen much better tv shows from Marvel and DC get canceled and I have no idea why this hasn't been, I'm guessing because it's an HBO Max original series and they have more vested in it than a network that doesn't own the series. The Doom Patrol is basically a bunch of dysfunctional people with a ton of personal problems, even Cyborg gets really annoying and whiny most of the time. But at the end of the day, the writing is just weak and lacks any depth and uses comedic relief as a crutch far too much.

Garbage
1 November 2022
Absolute trash, the checkpoint/save features are absolutely horrible. First of all, the checkpoint sends you so far back you really don't feel being bothered to keep going, then when you use the force at the checkpoint, which also Saves the game, ALL your enemies are respawned , so you feel like you're making zero progress most of the time and you keep fighting the same battles over and over and over to the point I feel like taking a few months off from the game, only to come back and be reminded why I took a few months away from it. I know I won't finish it because the save/checkpoint features are so lame, in fact without a doubt the lamest ever in any game I've ever played.

A couple episodes in and so far it's slow and kinda meh
31 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Ok, so I'm almost two episodes in and it feels like I'm four episodes in, In other words each one hour episode feels like they're two hours long, and not in a good way. The main character, Nathan, is supposed to be the son of a real bad guy who apparently kills witches with no real powers....except that they do? And they are tasked with hunting him and his kind, the blood witches down and killing them, the only problem is that none of them are like able at all and you really don't end up caring that the blood witches are killing them. They just don't come off as the good guys, and his sister is the worst of them all. She's just a horrible person. Tbh I'm doubting I'll make it thru the whole series, it's just not that interesting , if anything I'll just skip to the last episode. It's just kinda slow and meh.

Glorified stalker show
20 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I'm sorry, but at the end of the day, this show seems to make the main character, who incidentally, stalks women, thru social media and in person, stands outside their homes and looks thru their windows until he actually breaks into their homes to gather Intel before he initiates a relationship with them, ultimately killing them, usual after holding them prisoner inside a room built of either glass or some kind of hard plexiglass...the hero. I know it's supposed to be entertainment but seriously, is this where we are? Glorifying serial killer stalkers of women? While trying to make it funny? At least with Dexter he was actually killing people who did heinous things and deserved to die. I find this in poor taste. And apparently he gets away with killing the women he stalks so he can find a new victim in the next season. I just don't think this was a good idea for a show.

Pleasantly Surprised
18 September 2022
First of all I have to say, normally, as Austin Powers would say, " This is not my bag baby ", lol. It was just one of those late nights where I turned on something to fall asleep to and instead of falling to sleep I found myself binge watching almost more than half of the whole series. It was fun to watch and a pleasant surprise I have to admit. The acting was good as well as the writing and although I knew who Julia Child was growing up and didn't really watch her growing up it was fascinating seeing how her show came together and the actress playing her didn't a fantastic job portraying her. I'm glad I gave the show a chance.

Not bad for a half hour show
12 September 2022
Tbh I'm taking consideration that each episode is only a half hour long and you can only do so much in that little time. I'd expect more from a one hour show but a half hour just doesn't give you the time to build. At least Marvel didn't spend the entire series explaining her origin story like they've done too many times. This quickly establishes how she became She Hulk and it's off and running from there, not half a season spent on her training. Overall it's a half hour super hero sitcom and if you take it too seriously then this show isn't for you.

If you're going to compare it to Marvel movies like Iron Man or the Avengers, it would be like comparing Batman's The Dark Knight to one of those Lego Batman movies. You're just not going to get the depth and writing of something like The Avengers End Game from a half hour sitcom.

Not a good idea in the long run
23 August 2022
I can't say I didn't enjoy it overall, the problem was trying to watch the entire thing over so many different shows it becomes too much work, especially if you're trying to watch it years later. Let's see, The Flash, Super Girl, Batwoman, Green Arrow, The Legends etc, now imagine if some of those shows aren't been aired anymore, it just becomes a big mess trying to watch it all.

Lower your expectations and you might enjoy it
20 August 2022
Ok, the first season started off not so bad, midway thru as with most series, the writing just became sooooooooo predictable and cliche. If you can get past the utter stupidity of some of the characters and lazy/predictable writing you might be able to get thru some of it, at least a few seasons. Tbh I'm kinda surprised it lasted as long as it did. By the time I got to season 4 I could literally say what was going to happen before it happened because that's how predictable the writers were.

The Division (2016 Video Game)
1/10
Single player review
16 August 2022
So this isn't for the multiplayer part of the game, this is regarding the single player mode, which is for the most part , pretty bad. First of all I've played Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell years back, I didn't like the gameplay as far as the controller goes then and I still don't. Moving your character around just feels Awkward and clumsy compared to call of duty, with The Division you can't really duck down when you run, only when you find something the hide behind and even then there's just a certain lack of freedom of movement.

Getting to the game itself, a lot 0f it is very non intuitive and you really don't know what some of the things you are collecting is for, but besides that, for the most part you are hopelessly out maned and out gunned, and pretty much don't have armor to outlast the endless onslaught of enemies, and it takes only a few hits from the enemies to kill you vs how many it takes to kill them. There are medkits that are unreliable half the time and sometimes you get back up in the game buts it's pretty much for show as they really aren't any help, to be honest it's fun for a little while but then it gets repetitive, and even though you're moving up in levels it doesn't really feel like it because the number of enemies seem to increase but your character doesn't seem to get stronger, or rather you easily die no matter what, even if you're say level 12 but go do a mission on a part of the map that's level 5 or 8. Anyway at this point I'm definitely not interested in continuing playing. I'll check out division 2 and see if the developer has made any improvements or learned anything.

Cancellation was inevitable
18 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Honest couldn't really get past 3 episodes and knew from there this was going to get canceled, I gave it one, maybe two seasons at best. I mean I saw from Hulu there were two seasons and it came out years ago but aI completely understand why it was canceled, it was just ridiculous, I know to a point we're supposed to suspend reality to a point with movies and tv show but this was just an insult to my intelligence, you have a person infected with a disease roaming free and people just carrying on like it's ok, The scene with the woman taking a shower and the guy coming in and infecting her was utterly ridiculous, smh, yeah, a dangerous killer on the loose and you're going to casually take a shower all alone, no one watching out beside the door , these people were not smart at all.

A little over the top
16 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Ok, over all it wasn't bad, kinda started loosing steam after the 6th episode, tbh aI think it would have been better as a two hour movie. By the last episode it was like he was just over the top with revenge and was out of control to the point it was hard to see him as the good guy and cheer him on. Some of the payback seemed unnecessary and he should actually have ended up in jail.
