In search of life's meaning
23 June 2023
As always you get a big, all over the top Anderson experience, meaning it was aesthetically pleasing and compelling to think a bit more freely about life.

This was not my favorite movie of his but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The score by Desplat was excellent.

I particularly liked Schwartzman's role. In some moments it almost felt not like a role but like he was truly experiencing a chaotic situation with us the audience. Feeling just like as baffled in his effort to understand life and it's meaning. Both in his role in the play and his life as the actor.

My favorite moment of the movie was the conversation between him and Brody at the end of the movie.

Very moving. Unexpectedly funny

I walked into the movie theater while very upset with work stuff. The movie started and i immediately felt grounded. The movie sucked me in completely.

It felt like all of a sudden i connected with the characters very deeply. Especially with Farrell's character and the boy Dominic.

You get such a close look to the essence of relationships between different people.

The small details of looks, pauses, touches, sarcastic comments etc, all made for a great experience.

The scenery provides such depth as well to the whole narrative.

A very moving performance from Farrell.

Makes you appreciate human relationships.

Makes you somewhat hopeful.

Would definitely recommend! I'm.

It's great to be sucked back into the lotr universe

I loved this first season. Honestly all the negative reviews I hear seem to me a bit unjustified. The story obviously is so exciting to see and it feels like it has beed produced with great respect toward Tolkien and the tone that was set by the Lord of the Rings movies.

The myth and its meticulous presentation from the actors, to the scenery, to the soundtracks ect, made so excited for every Fridt when an episode would air.

I cant wait to watch season two and I am sure that i will be rewatching these episodes before season 2.

There is a scene on the last episode which i have already replayed 100 times.

Gripping
5 November 2022
This movie did not disappoint.

The story kept me at the edge of my seat, the unraveling of the events was gripping and full of suspense. I saw it a week ago but it's still on my mind.

Jeremy Irons, was great and he shined a bright light on the prime minister that was later overshadowed by his successor (fairly, but still it was the first time I got to appreciate Chamberlain's passion).

I had never seen a movie with any of the two main actors starring before, but from now on i will definitely keep my eye on any other work they may do.

The subtle tension between the two lead men that shifts to different notions as the story evolves is very intriguing and i love the fact that words are mostly left unsaid about that relationship between them, but the emotions flow effortlessly from their eyes.

This is a movie i would gladly rewatch.

A great watch

This movies has been on my list for a looong time. Now that i've seen it the first thing i want to say is that Kate Winslet, never misses.

She is such a charismatic actress, she was very moving.

The movie made you deep dive in a melancholic disposition. A complex relationship between a son parenting his mother, a loving and hard reality that was amazingly transferred to me by the trembling, anxious eyes of the actor who portrayed the son.

Brolin feels wholesome and carries you into a safe, warm environment.

A bitter sweet summertime in suburban US, is completely disoriented by the electric tension this unexpected visitor provokes to a mother and her son. Even though the romantic tension seemed to go from 0 to 100 in split seconds it's justifiable from all that closeness those two people experienced so fast, the way she was holding his arm when he had his arm around her neck when her neighbor came by, for example.

The father gives a really emotional speech near the end of the film that provided such a nice note to the closure of the chapter.

Would recommend to friends for a heartfelt night in.

Helena Bonham Carter is EPIC period.

She portrays this complex character with such depth.

Hands down the best character of the show and quite possibly the royal family.

So moving, so real - unapologetically human She reminds me the red heart queen of alice in wonderland not because she was in the tim burton remake. But because she radiates that troubled but sensitive persona.

Amazing chefs, kind of disappointed in the end
7 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
All the chefs were outstanding, i was wowed woth all of them . Their passion made me respect them deeply and i liked the fact that I didnt feel any bad vibes between the contestants. Personally i believe that one of the aussies should have won the competition, they were just AMAZING - the best duo of all. Quite suspicious that an american won the competition of an american production... However the winner was great as a chef and has a beautiful personality too woth ethics and respect for his fellow contestants , not at all cocky! The host was really annoying , i hope next season they will cast someone less creepy and less "cringy"

Edward Norton was unbelievable
25 December 2018
I am speechless by the performance of Edward Norton. I never saw it coming.. I started this movie with minimun expectations and at the end of it I felt sad that I hadn't seen it earlier. Richard Gere adds class to this movie and I feel like he was born to play a lawyer. Loved the twist at the end, I will certainly remember it for a very long time.
