Skinamarink (2022)
Was that a possessed Fisher-price telephone???
I decided to watch this movie after watching a TikTok creator recommend it. My best advice when following the recommendation of TikTok creators is this; do not follow the advice of TikTok creators. I'm fairly confident that if given a camera in the time, my ninth grade, daughter and her friends would've made a scarier movie. I am ready when they can complete a film so I give two stars just for the completion.
But you have some movies look like an art film? And I don't mean that like in a good way? This movie looked like something they have been put together in a rush to meet some sort of a deadline. It's hard to sympathize with these characters when you never see them. I mean you literally never see them. And what's terrorizing them? Is it a demon? Is it an alien? Is it a ghost? We never know. Just a terrible waste of time.
I was never agree with the ratings on here but there's a reason that there's nearly 4 times as many ones as there are tens. This is an hour and 40 minutes of my life I will never get back.
28 Days Haunted (2022)
I was not a believer before watching this...
I was not a believer in the paranormal or supernatural prior to.watching this. Now I am convinced this is all fake. I would strongly encourage all of the paranormal investigators to take a very basic community college acting class. Because that was, perhaps the hardest part of getting through this was watching them all act. I rated this at a two. But I do encourage everyone to watch it. Because it is pure hilarity. Pay particular attention to Jereme and Brandy in Madison North Carolina. But don't be taking any drinks during their segments cause you're liable to end up at your nose. Please bear in mind that all of these paranormal investigations take place at places where the hauntings are well documented, and the ghost stories are prevalent. It's just a real joy watching these people act like there's doubling up on the stuff.
He's Watching (2022)
Yikes!
I would really very much like to speak to the filmmaker. I'm just very curious as to what his interpretation of his own film is. Because from opening credits to closing credits we thought we knew what he was trying to say. But along the way got convoluted, and lost.
I admire anyone who has the temerity to complete an artistic endeavor. But there was too many paranormal tropes used along the way that really made things hazy. It felt like found footage, but there was a lot of omniscient camera work. There was demons and a pandemic. It tried too hard I guess.
This film was not so bad that it was worth watching. But it was definitely not good enough to have watched the whole thing. But we did watch the whole thing, and are still very confused. I don't know if it's an experience with writing, or a budgetary thing But "He's watching" and I wished I hadn't.
Halloween: Resurrection (2002)
Was It a contractual obligation to make this movie?
If anyone ever tries to tell you that this is not the worst of the Halloween movies, you need to punch them directly in the face and walk away as briskly as you can.
Candyman (2021)
Yikes
It was bound to happen eventually. Jordan Peeled name was going to be attached to a bad movie. This thing was predictable from the very opening shot If you had seen the first Candyman. Just nothing scary. Mostly just a bunch of absurd nonsense.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
This is awful
If you love "this is us", or Hallmark movies of the week, this movie is going to be a thrill for you. If however you were tuning in because you think you're watching a monster movie, disappointment will sure to be following. You get a C 11 from stranger things crying a lot. Monsters on the other hand you don't get to see you so much. Like if you have two hours to kill, go climb a tree, or maybe play frisbee with a friend. But don't waste your time with this.
