Knight Rider 2000 (1991)
Poor sequel to the television series.
If you are a fan of 80s television, don't watch this crazy comeback movie that was made in 1991 right after the series ended. Too much heartache and HEADACHE!!
Don't Look Up (2021)
Silly...need I say more...Oh, and a little disappointing....
What is a little disappointing about this ridiculous film is that high-end, highly successful actors and actresses would take on this project. It has to be the silliest film about an ELE (Extinction Level Event); several years outdated from 2 successful films that actually were excellent movies about the earth possibly experiencing such a catastrophic event...Armageddon & Deep Impact. Now, Those were 2 awesome films depicting a world-wide apocalypse. But this film IS A JOKE!! And to see Meryl Streep & Leonardo Dicaprio star in this movie is sad. Nobody takes it seriously that the earth will be destroyed, and I am sorry, but that's not really something to joke about. However, I rate it a 3 because if the aim of the creators of this movie was to insinuate how our country or world would react to an ominous revelation such as extinction of the planet, then they probably hit the nail on the head.
The Post (2017)
AWESOME AWESOME FILM
This has to be one of the best TRUE STORIES depicted on the big screen that I have ever seen! Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks play stellar roles representing the courage and tenacity of The Washington Post during one of the most momentous events in reporting history. I LOVED IT!!
The Magicians (2015)
Hogwarts Stoned
Very interesting show, but I must warn you, unless you are just in love with fantasy and magic, or special effects, this is more or less a very similar television adaptation to Harry Potter; only less glorified. It's basically Hogwarts on Marijuana, and more like the college years.
Future Man (2017)
Below Average & Lame
I think the title of my review says it all. It actually starts without substance, but as far as what the show is intended to be about, the main character lusts after a video game. Lame!!!
Less Than Zero (1987)
Blast From The Past With A Great Cast
Had not seen this film for a very long time. One reason I never watched it again much was because I didn't like seeing such great actors as McCarthy & Downey playing such lurid roles. I was rather shocked the first time I saw it back in the 80s. As I am 47, it is a familiar title, but when I watched it again recently focusing more in depth on its story and scale, I realized the central point imbued. It is primarily a revelation to ALL baby-boomers of the 1980s the sheer dangers and pitfalls of drug use. Although so many of us in that time were unaware of its inevitable consequences, a few of us such as myself knew it could kill when abused. I never was a partaker of this generation's failure to understand the conflict of drug use, but if everyone both then & today would concentrate on what this film is trying, it is basically the same concrete statement that was often hammered back then, "don't do drugs!"
This film, in its own way, subtly displayed the outward beauty everyone thought there was in social drug interaction, only with quickly, additionally revealing its often horrible outcome!!!
