Reacher: Reacher Said Nothing (2022)
Season 1, Episode 7
5/10
Fun with some complete incoherence.
7 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I have been watching this and other episodes just to get to the end and was enjoying things somewhat. It's not even close to a perfect show but it has its moments, mostly violence I must say but nevertheless. However, the supposed 6.5 superman vs 5.7 man-child fight was the silliest I have seen in a long time. I rolled my eyes more times than Reacher blocked the crowbar. Wtf were the writers smoking at that point?

Don't waste your time on this garbage.

What a pile of "beep" this was. The director plus anyone involved with the script should have all of the means to write more scripts confiscated. Not a story/plot in sight, I've seen better action sequences in my local old folks home. Tiresome walking, running, chasing, driving nonsense, and don't get me started on so called hacking, a 5 year old must've written the bit about tracking and remote access.

There are almost no great films around nowadays and we have all become a little too critical of everything that comes along, yes, we have seen it all before and to stir us something quite special is required. JB films were that something special.... until now. RIP JB.

Is it predictable ? - YES. But it is also very entertaining.
27 October 2008
So what if I can predict what is going to happens, I can do it with most films nowadays - its not about that. Its about making a movie that entertains, and IMHO they have achieved that.

OK, some of the shooting sequences were a bit dodgy and the narration descended into the cliché on occasions but overall I rate this film better then most action films I have seen in recent months.

Cage is solid in his role and so is his side kick. The elephant did a good job too but his role was only in 2 scenes :) So all in all 7 is my vote and it could have been better if not for a few lines of monologue and a couple of silly shootouts across water canisters.

Watch it and make your own mind.

Just plain depressing!

Three words to describe this "Oscar wonder": Pointless piece of crap!

Because of the reviews on this and other sites I have been waiting to see this movie for ages. I was so pleased when I saw it will be on BBC1. Not any more...

The two of us started to watch this film expecting something special. After 1.5 hours (or maybe it just felt that long), we were still expecting something special...

Now, after watching the whole film... I can confirm to all of you - Nothing special or interesting happens in this film.

If you have time to spare then go to the nearest wall and stare at it for 2 hours, you will end up as satisfied.

Dexter (2006–2013)

Best TV show I have ever seen!
5 February 2008
I am not big on TV drama. I was never into what everyone usually raves about, you know - your Desperate Housewives, House and CSIs.

The first episode of Dexter however absolutely blew me away. There and then I wanted to drink Cafetiere coffee, floss after breakfast, tie my shoe laces real hard and of cause kill bad guys. I am joking of cause - I never liked to floss. God damn though, honestly even the beginning credits are so efing juicy.

The whole show is brilliantly crafted affair. The acting, the characters, the music, the plot – all of the things slot into place as nicely as those blood slides into the Dexter's trophy box.

The show provides the continuity of episode by episode script writing excellence I have never seen, and yes you probably refer me to my first paragraph, but I am telling you the writing is amazing.

The combination of blood, sex, dexterity and wit, simply stunned me. I loved it. I watched Season 1 and 2 in one breath… aright, I did pause for loo breaks a few times, and I swear, next Season I am watching it with a bucket next to me… yeah-yeah I'll be watching on my own :) DEXTER – I hope there is more where it came from!!!

America saves the world....again.
1 January 2008
When the American movie industry tries to critically look at their own government they make damn sure it looks good even when it's bad.

The film does 1 thing right it demonstrates perfectly what is wrong with the American politics. The motto seems to be to f**k with whoever it takes to get things done!!! Mix an American Congressmen, a CIA agent, a Jew and an Arab... just to f**k the Ruskies. Thanks to US for giving us Osama Bin Laden.

The disappointment of the film comes in the face of muddling up the issues: using imagery of Afghan children with no arms and the stories of soviet atrocities and then making a blatant attempt to suggest a link between those and the reasoning behind the American help. Every sensible person knows why the $1,000,000,000 was raised... not the dying Afghani children that's for sure.

As usual the serious issues are covered into facade of bullshit dialogue. "Here is to you, you M***r F*****s" Hoffmam chants at the end, all that's missing is the American flag in the background and the stupid military solutes. The films can not help but leave the aftertaste of the feeling of American pride and glee on how we (the Americans) have saved the world... once again. Not even the last 5 minutes of the film can save it, where an attempt is being made to stop praising yourself and wake up to the fact that its just another American F**k up.

The acting and editing was good though.

Poor, in a rush and not a well acted US remake...
23 October 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Was Martin Scorsese even awake when the editing was done for this movie?

All respect to the man (good director), but I haven't seen such poorly made remake since... well never. The original "Internal Affairs" (Hong Kong), was very good (not brilliant) but solid in every way; acting, script, special effect etc.

This new US version (wtf is the Irish mafia???)... Is to say the least below par, but if being honest is absolutely terrible.

Acting: 4/10 Script: identical to original (except evil Irish Mafia) Special Effects: 2/10

Even the combination of Dicaprio, Damon, Sheen, Nicholson, Wahlberg, Winstone, Baldwin and others (how the hell did they manage to get them all together, director's name I suppose.) could not have saved this movie from being a flop.

Throughout the whole movie I felt like, the director was under pressure to finish the movie in the hurry (and even here it gone all wrong… it took 2+ hours).

The only positive was the music, and the fact that everyone died, apart from that don't waste your time with this version get the HK original.
