The Princess Switch (2018)
You don't want to enjoy it. But you will.
This is your typical predictable feel good movie. I'm 26 years old. And I consider my taste in movies to be quiet refined.
Even then I found this movie pleasantly enjoyable as a casual watch with your loved ones with no pressure of it being correct, sensible, deep or meaningful. Just a good old holiday movie.
So while I was smiling through the movie I eye rolled multiple times for effect to convince myself that it's not up to my usual standards in movies and that I'm not really enjoying it. But I was.
The Trip (2016)
Not worth your time. At all
With jarring product placements in every episode, zero logic in the event that transpire, copied story linesz dialogues and even sets, the trip is not for anyone who is into movies/webseries or shows.
It doesn't appeal to me as an urban Indian who is from the class of people they have shown the characters to be because it's unrealistic and silly how things happen. Emotions are brought up randomly with poor exploration of the reasons, character skethces are loose and scenes are thrown in just for the sake of them.
Let's not even get into the flawed timeline of events.
I think most Indian web series in general are trying to capture the minds of people who believe this life exists and have free internet on their phones.
Watch it if you are a girl in your teens or early 20s, with a lot of time to waste, don't mind plagiarism and mediocre work with product placements that will make you swear every time you see a Lakme facewash in the store instead of making you want to buy it.
The first season was bearable. The second is just tragic.
